First time in so many years

"I'm sorry,Y/N-ah. But she needs me and I must go to her, I can't continue this relationship any longer.

Tae,darling,you promised me. You said you don't take promises lightly. Please don't leave me, have your promises meant nothing...

I'm sorry."

Taehyung woke up abruptly in the middle of the night. The heartbreak in her voice and begging between tears for him not to leave, seemed so new as if it happened just yesterday.

Although it's been 5 years it still haunts him.

5 years since he broke the relationship off with her, he hasn't seen her or heard from her since that night.

He wiped his face with his hands before getting off the bed to head to the bathroom. As he was brushing his teeth, he stared at the mirror and watched his reflection. It was definitely her. he thought to himself, thinking back to the last time he saw her again.

Taehyung being his usual forgetful self, forgot the gift he bought for Hoseok and Eunhae's engagement. After telling Jimin, he rushed to tell their manager in the crowd to grab the keys. As he was walking back into the venue, he accidentally bumped into a girl and he almost dropped the gift but she caught it before it hit the floor.

"Thank you, that would've been a disaster if you didn't catch it." He smiled as she stood back up. His eyes met hers and his smile slowly disappeared,frozen and stiff.

She smiled and nodded, handing him back his gift. He was too focused on her that he didn't realize she was trying to give the gift back. She lifted the gift higher and he snapped back into reality and took it from her.

She never spoke a word but he remembered very distinctly that smile, she gave a slight bow before leaving him there trying to recollect himself and his memories. He was so sure that he had gotten over it but seeing her again after so long brought back all the bottled memories.

So many questions raced through Taehyung's head: Why did she not say anything? He thought while turning off the water and putting his toothbrush back.Did she forget who I was?Did she keep her distance because I am a celebrity?

Whether or not these questions get answered, he knows for sure she's now in Seoul and he is drawn back into their past. The past he chose to walk out of and leave her behind,like she never even mattered to him. He left her in pieces.
