Thoughts of You

I wrote you this sonnet, with all these thoughts of you, it took me all night.
Before I knew it, my heavy eyes were opened by the rising sunlight.

I bought you this sweater, with hope it keeps you warm.
I know how much you like to walk in the cold night, even in a snow storm.

I know I'm not the kind you'd be proud to be aligned.
I wouldn't blame you if you'd walk away from me and if your friendship be declined.

I've cleaned up, emptied all the skeletons and I'm careful now of the things I do.
I'm distancing myself from the demons
From this point forward,
My efforts will be persistent and true.
