The book was old and musty. It hadn't been touched in years. The pages stained yellow and the spine cracking. She had never seen it before until two days ago when she was clearing dust. She had tried to ignore it but temptation was all to much.she had gone back and there it was. Sitting. Begging to be opened. She felt as though it was crying out, reaching for her.And now there it lay. Open resting on her arm. Vines creeping and reaching for something to hold.
The girl lay blissfully unaware of the events to come. The room plunged into darkness, and every sound was enhanced; the howling of the wind;rustling of the bedsheet;the slither of the vines creeping along the pages. And the girl was up, gasping for breath, searching around the room for something, any thing familiar to bring her to reality. But there was only black.
She was suffocating in darkness, heart racing, unable to calm herself. Arms flaling she found the book. Inches from disappearing into the dark abyss. The vines raced up her arms before she could react. An earthy smell filled her nose. She tried to scream. Call out to her parents walks away. But it was blacked by the maze of vines growing around her. Her vision became obscured by brown and green. She was trapped. Imobalised by the growing vines. Snakes crawling around her body. Fear gripped her chest. She couldn't breath. Her chest crushed by the ever growing weight. Black spots began to fill her vision and she was losing consciousness. Darkness eloped her vision.
He had warned her about the book.
Now it was too late.
