Real animatronics that are nightmares

Billy bobs wonderland/the rock afire explosion

I grew up in Kentucky so I have seen and been to billy bobs wonderland before and I will say they did creep the crap out of me..

The Billy bobs wonderland franchise dates back to 1989, the first location being in East Barboursville. The second being in Ashland ky ( where I was born) but opening dates are not confirmed. The animatronics there are from the original group called The Rock-afire Explosion from the original franchise showbiz pizza place. The showbiz pizza restaurants ran from 1980-1992. The animatronics had shows where they would play instruments, sing, and make facial expressions. The show was created by a man named Aaron fetcher. Not only did he make animatronics sometimes he would even voice them! Fun fact unlike most animatronics these ones were about the size of a full grown man, so they were definitely not as big at the others in the entertainment franchises around them. The animatronics has latex faces instead of the normal fabric ones you would se commonly in the animatronics at that time.

The animatronics:
Billy bob brockali- bass/ vocals
He's the beat in the band. He was the mascot for showbiz pizza and stayed that till they went out of business

Looney bird- vocals
Looneys head was the only thing that would show in the whole show, the rest of him was supposed to be hiding in the oil drum. Sometimes in the show they would have parts where he would answer fan mail For this, the animatronic was retrofitted to include a pair of hands which popped up holding a piece of paper for him to read

Dook laRue- drums/vocals
He was a dog inspired by space travels. In the show he would often lose focus and act like he didn't know what was going on. He was set up to be able to play a 4 piece drum kit.
