The Gatekeepers Promise

It was a cold December late afternoon the moon was above in a hazy glowing bright daze, nit a bird to be seen in the naked tree's of the frosty winter night.

The wind and snow were howling like wolves rampaging through the night for a thirst of blood, but this wintery moonlight would soon see it turned to ash.

A young girl named Sabrina lived with her uncle Samuel carter.
Sabrina is a young girl with black hair and eyes that are green like emeralds.

It was 4:47Am Sabrina was asleep until she heard a loud boom
"Woah!....what the hell was that!?"
Sabrina cried
She ran to her window to look out and saw fire and smoke burning off in the distance.
Her uncle also came into the room to check on her
"Sabrina!?"
Samuel cried
"Are you alright?"
"Yes im fine uncle sam"
Even though she claimed she was her heart was still pounding pretty fast from the shock of the explosion.

"Just make sure you get back to sleep safely ima go see what all this is about"
Uncle sam claimed

"Alright uncle sam"
Sabrina said while making her way to her bed.
Uncle sam left the room and Sabrina went back to sleep passing through the night.

Once the morning sun came about the sky was a gloomy grey from the winters wrath.
With the trees naked not a ray of sunshine to be seen and no grass visible in sight.

Sabrina awoke from her slumber the time was 7:49Am
"Oh man...im still very tired"
Sabrina said with a yawn

She walked to the window to see if the fire was still going off
"Hm... I wonder what even happened...was it a bomb?
Nah it can't be"
Sabrina said with a chuckle
She then made her way to the bathroom to start her bathroom chores.

Once she was done cleaning herself and getting the morning started, when she went down stairs she realized her Uncle was out for the day.

"Uncle Sam never really leaves to work on a sunday... Maybe they called him into work"
Sabrina mumbled
She looked around for a note of any kind maybe on the fridge or in his room but to none avail.

So she grabbed her winter clothes and head out into the grey winter morning, she stared off into the sky with the slow snow fall and the cold winter breathes of Sabrina's mouth. with the near by town on the left side of the road and the forest to the right.

"Hey Sabrina!?"
A shout came into the winter winds

It was a girl with natural red hair freckles and green eyes, it was Sabrina's childhood friend from early middle school ivory.

"Ivory what are you doing here?"
Sabrina asked

"Looking for you silly goose! You had me worried with that recent fire that happened late last night"
Ivory explained

"So you heard that mysterious explosion to then?"

"Yes it's all over the news, people call it the snowy flames of clarktown"
Ivory addressed

"How do people already have a name for it? Seems kinda quick huh?"
Sabrina questioned

"Ok you got me im the only one who names it that...BUT IT SOUNDS SO COOL! Like a mystery for us to solve"
Ivory said with a wide smile

Sabrina gave a chuckle and looked towards the forest seeing the snow fall off the branches

"Honestly ivory i may go and see what happened do you know specifically where the flames were told to happen?"
Sabrina asked

"They said it's in the graveyard, the gatekeeper said it was a ferocious flames like no other hes seen"
Ivory explained

"Could ya tell Mrs anabelle that i will meet her at the dinner a lil later then usual? Im gonna go and see what all the fire burned"
Sabrina said with a smile

"Sure but don't take to long Sabrina Anabelle is making pancakes with blueberries today at the diner so. DON'T BE LATE!"
Said Ivory with a gleam in her eyes

"Yes Ivory, i wouldn't miss those pancakes for the world"

"You better, well bye Sabrina ya better be back soon!"
Ivory said while running off the other direction of the forest

"Bye Ivory!"

Sabrina said while walking towards the forest

Once she entered the forest the trees where half covered in snow, the branches bent down looking distorted from the weight of the tree's. Not a single animal around only the noise of wind and branches moving slowly, breaking the ice that sticks onto them. 

Sabrina walked slowly through the forest as she started hearing the creeks and shatter of ice like a creature was there.
*Crack!*
Sabrina let out a gasp to turn around, all she saw was the snowy cold road and her breath
"I-it only must be the ice"
Sabrina mumbled quietly

She turned back around to make her way through the dark cold winter forest, to see what happened at ClarkTown graveyard.
