Marco: alright

Jean walked out of the locker room and into the almost empty hallway where he saw Marco standing outside the door to the library.

"Ready?" Marco asked fixating his backpack to get ready to walk.

"Yea let's go" Jean said motioning for Marco to follow.

As they stepped out side Jean looked up and sighed at the chill air and gray sky.

"Hope it doesn't rain" Jean said putting his hands out to feel imaginary rain.

"Yea" Marco agreed.

They walked silently down the somewhat empty street. Jean usually liked the quiet but this wasn't a normal non talking situation, it was more awkward than usual. Their shoulders occasionally brushed when they stepped aside for on coming pedestrians. And their seemingly loud foot steps echoed when they passed under car overpasses. They stopped at a busy street light waiting for the cars to die down. Jean looked up at the darkening sky and signed, he felt a little rain drop settle on his shoulder.

He and Marco looked at each other.

"I don't think it'll be bad, lets keep walking were almost there" Marco said.

They kept walking, but at a little faster pace. Soon they felt the drops get heavier until they were drenched.

"Shit, sorry I didn't think it would rain today, here let's take the short cut"

Marco said. Jean nodded and followed Marco.

'Woah, Marco is a fast runner' Jean thought as Marco ran in between two houses.

'And really athletic' Jean thought as he watched Marco jump over a houses fences.

"You ok?" Marco asked as he watched jean stair. The rain pounding the ground made it hard to hear, so they were speaking louder than normally.

"you can jump this right? It's pretty sma-" Marco said.

"Yea I'm good" Jean said as he climbed the fence then jumped over.

"Were almost there come on let's keep running" Marco said as he continued to sprint. Jean followed. With everyone of their steps there was a splash of water.

Finally they reached the house.

Marco opened the door and they scurried in trying not to let the heavy rain inside. Jean looked around the house, a decent size, not too big but very cozy. Right when he walked in he looked to the right and saw a couch with a coffee table and a tv which was turned onto the nightly news. Then he looked to the right to see a kitchen with a table and a lady sitting at it reading a news paper. She had dark brown hair and looked pretty young with blue eyes and freckles.

'Well now I know where he got that from' Jean thought looking at the two's resemblances.

"Hey ho- oh my, are you two alright?" Marco's mom asked.

"Yea, but were going to go dry off then go study, by the way this is jean" Marco said like he was in a hurry. Jean swung his bag on his shoulder and reached his hand out to shake it. His mom wiped her hand on her apron and reached past his hand for a hug. Even though he was dripping wet she still had a warm smile sprawled across her face. A weird scenario Jean has never experienced.

"Hello I'm Jean" the now flustered jock said.

"Hello, I'm Mrs. Bott, but you can call me Susan, are you boys hungry?" Marco's mom asked. Marco had a quick response, as if this happened before.
