The Disease

Everyday you see her smiling,

You hear her laughing,

You listen to her jokes,

As she slowly fades away,

You ignore all her cries for help,

And her pleas,

Would you care if she dies?

Dismiss all the tears that roll down her skeleton face,

She takes a look in the mirror,

Her eyes filled with hate,

As she slowly fades away,

Watch her push around her food in her plate,

She has a death wish,

If not losing enough weight,

She'll go even further,

You never paid attention to her broken body language,

But she found a way out,

A way out of all the pain,

It always makes a cloud of rain,

Dripping down her arms,

She's losing confidence,

And luck,

As she slowly fades away,

The disease becomes stronger,

It becomes more visible,

But in time no one noticed,

Her pale skin becoming scarred,

As her wish becomes true,

As she slowly fades away
