In a small town in Rosewood, Pennsylvania, there are five former best friends who reunite after the disappearance of their leader and "It" girl, Alison Dilaurentis ...the Queen Bee and the most popular girl in school. You either hated her or you wanted to be her and she had a lot of enemies that would eventually and unfortunately fall back on the five girls. Courtney, the cousin of Alison and known to be the "good" golden girl, Spencer, the intelligent overachiever, Aria, the spunky compassionate, Hanna the outspoken admirer, and Emily, the loyal caretaker all now have to deal with this anonymous person who goes by 'A' who knows all their deepest secrets that only Alison should have known who is now dead.
