Mason Mount ~ Chelsea #4

Start from the beginning

"I need help finding flowers for someone," Mason said. He wanted to make sure that he gets the best flowers for you without you figuring out that the flowers were for you. You nodded your head and made your way around the till trying not to think about why Mason would need flowers. Maybe he needed them for a family members birthday? You were trying everything to keep your mind at rest not wanting to think about Mason having a girlfriend.

"So who's the lucky person?" You asked as you walked around looking at some flowers. It would be easier to find some flowers if you knew who they were for. Depending on the age depends on the flowers they like. It's a weird thing to know but the more you know about the person the better flowers you can pick out for them. It's like a person's personality relates to the flowers that they like. It's not true but somehow you're always good at picking the correct ones and the person always thanks you.

"I want an arrangement of flowers for my crush," Mason said barely managing to get it out. You nodded your head moving your head away from him so he couldn't see your face. Tears were pricking in the corner of your eyes and you didn't want him to see it. It was kind of stupid since you hadn't known him for long but you felt something pull at your stomach and you hated it. You didn't know if there were any feelings on his part but there was defiantly feelings on your part and it hurt that he didn't like you back.

"These are the ones I like the best." You said eventually having to cough to clear your voice. You pointed to your favourite flowers. They've always been your favourite since you were a little girl always wanting one when you walked past the flower shop with your family. They always made you happy when you were around them. It was some sort of comfort thing.

"I'll take them," Mason said. You said they were your favourite so he was obviously going to take them to give them to you but you didn't have to know that. Not yet anyway. You nodded your head taking a bouquet of them and walked back to the till to put it in the machine so Mason could pay for them and take them home. Mason followed you already getting money out of his pocket so he could pay you.

"Thank you for your help," Mason said smiling shyly at you and taking the bouquet out of your hands so he could take them home. When he took the bouquet he passed you the correct change do you didn't have to give him anything back.

"It's my job." You said smiling. You could tell that the smile wanted to come off of your face but you wouldn't let it. Mason was a customer and you needed to be polite.

"Have a good day," Mason said waving slightly to you as he walked away with the flowers in his hands. You finally let the smile fall off of your face not having to fake it anymore considering Mason had left and there were no customers in the shop. You were hurt that Mason had someone else in his life but you knew that it would eventually happen considering you and him didn't know each other that well. You slumped down on the chair and sighed daydreaming about a life you wished you had. One that involved Mason.

Meanwhile, Mason walked out of the flower shop and straight to his car. He stayed in the car not moving for a couple of seconds embarrassed beyond no ends. There was no way he would be able to face you again today at least. Reluctantly he began the engine and drove straight to Declan he needed advice and now.

"Mason." You said again when you saw him walk into the shop. It was the following day and nobody really comes in two days in a row so you were confused to why he was. He was also holding something behind his back and that much was obvious. Slowly Mason walked straight to the till where you were and stood right in front of it keeping his hands behind his back so not showing you what he had. He still didn't say anything to you probably trying to figure out what to actually say. You stood there staring silently at each other no words leaving your lips or his. Slowly Mason pulled his arms back around passing you a bouquet of flowers. The exact ones that he had brought from this store yesterday. You held out your hand grabbing the flowers from his and you moved your eyes back to his face. He had a blush covering his cheeks and you found it adorable. He was cute with a smile like that and a light blush covering his cheeks. You also had a blush covering your cheeks slightly embarrassed about the feelings that you had yesterday. He was talking about you and you thought he was talking about someone else.

"Thank you I love them." You said bringing them to your nose to smell them even though you already knew what they smelt like you still wanted to smell them considering they were your favourites. You could probably pick them out from the bunch just by smell because of how many times you've smelt them during your life.

"Since it Valentine's Day I was wondering if you wanted to go out somewhere with me?" Mason asked fiddling with his hands. You could tell that he was nervous to ask you and that made it all the sweeter. You got a huge smile on your face and nodded your head and as soon as you agreed you could tell that a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders and he instantly relaxed.

"I'll meet you here at 7," Mason said. Quickly looking you up and down to take note of what you were wearing so he could plan something sensible. You nodded your head and said bye to Mason. You watched as he left the shop and you could see him walked away from the shop with a huge smile on his face. You shook your head and began to try and tidy up the shop a little bit. It was already pretty tidy but you wanted to make sure it was immaculate and you knew that soon more people would be coming in considering it was getting close to your busiest hour.

"She said yes." You heard Mason shout a couple of minutes after he left the shop. It seemed like he had just asked someone to marry him. In reality, all that happened was that you agreed to go out on a date with him. You couldn't help but let a massive smile stay on your face from hearing Mason. You just know that you and him would get on so well. It seems like your energies would match fine because when you wanted to and weren't tired you have a lot of energy. Your thoughts got interrupted when you heard Mason shouting something again. You couldn't help but let out a laugh at him. Yeah, you and Mason would get on really well.
