I stood in front of the bathroom mirror staring wide eyed at this heap on the marble counter. Liam stepped in with a white towel around his waist, clinging on his hips. I looked up at him, admiring his toned body and some of the small scars that were etched on his torso from all of his kidney surgeries. I smiled, acting like a school girl who just met her number one band and jumped up, screaming into Liam's arms.
He caught me as I wrapped my legs around his waist and wove my hands in his hair. I lightly gave him a kiss on the lips that lasted for an eternity as Liam deepened it, letting me taste the minty toothpaste lingering in his mouth. I combed my fingers through his damp hair and my hands traced his ears all the way down his neck generating a low moan from his throat.
"My girl's back," he blew out, a smile playing on his lips. I giggled against his mouth then broke off our kiss. I looked down into his brown eyes, amusement glinting in those murky depths.
"Now what was all of the sulking in front of the mirror before you attacked me," he asked cocking his head.
I frowned, "The side effects," I pointedly said.
He looked behind me to the bathroom sink and saw the handful of my long brown hair nestled in a pile.
Liam mirrored my frown, "It's all right, love. You look beautiful with or without hair."
I gazed at his sincere face. I knew he was telling the truth when his eyes would melt and soften, adding sympathy behind them. I leaned down to kiss him once more and whispered against his lips, "I love you."
