Molly-

I woke up with a jolt at the sound of my four year old cousin's screams.

Nancy, my aunty and legal guardian, was on a business trip for two weeks in Africa, leaving me in charge with Harry, the miscreant who now deprived me of my dreams. I was an orphan- not a 'my parents tragically died in a car crash', or even a 'my parents couldn't take care of me so they left me in a wicker basket on the doorstep of a friendly stranger' type of orphan. I came from a torn background, which eventually left me with no one but an aunty, a currently screaming four year old monster, and a few other seemingly non-existent relatives.

I dragged myself out of bed, forcing my feet into a shuffle in the general direction of Harry's room. "There there" I sympathised in vain, but as usual he continued screaming so I used my usual method to quieten him. "shut up!" Harry stopped screaming and started to giggle. He loved it when I swore, because he knew I wasn't allowed to. As I said before, he was a true miscreant. I pulled him out from underneath the covers, and carried him to the kitchen where I gave him breakfast of fried eggs and toast. Of course, only the best for this little monster. Half an hour and two tea towels (for the egg and toast on the walls) later, Henri and I were on our way to school. First on the walk was Henry's preschool.

"I know it's hard without your mum, err aunty around at home, but Henry's getting really hard to handle. Yesterday he tried sticking a fork into an electric socket, and the day before..." I zoned out to Henri's day-care teacher droning on about Henry. I got this lecture every day I dropped him off. I know that while Nancy is away, I technically have to take care of him, but come on! I was only sixteen- not his mother! After the day-care teacher had finished her rant, I nodded, my long blond hair hiding my smirk. "Yes I'll be sure to talk to Henry about it" I said in my best 'good girl' jvoice. With that, I turned and left, going down the footpath on my way to school.

When Molly arrived at school, there was the usual crowd out the front. All the different cliques were grouped together- the transfer kids, the nerds, the popular girls, the jocks, and... I think that's it. Oh and my group. No wonder no one ever remembers up- the groups own members cannot even remember us. It's not that we're unpopular or anything- we all just like to slider under the radar. As I glanced over to the jocks, or more specifically to Hugh Tyson, he caught my glance, and smiled at me. Wait... WHAT! Hugh Tyson just smiled at me! I could already tell that this day was going to be weird.
