"Wow alex, i wouldn't want to even be seen if you thrashed me that badly" I snickered, shutting off the tv and listening to the other person on the phone. "I didn't humiliate the dude, shane" alex told me, his voice slightly crackling through the receiver. "Alex, you literally made your sharpedo swim circles around the mans decidueye, and it couldn't do anything but stand and fume" I said, deadpanning at what he said even if he couldn't see it. "......w-well, the guy got cocky at the end, and i couldn't resist the chance to troll!" "uh huh" I said, then jokingly added "you had to add the alakazam confusing both the pokemon AND the trainer?" "..........quiet you" he uttered, embarrassed. I had a laugh and let it go. "Alright, alright i had my fun" I said while still chuckling. "Anyway, when are you gonna get your pokemon? You are definitely ready for one, seeing as your 16" "alex, actual pokemon came out...." I look when they were revealed up, then continued. "Only a year and 5 months ago. It ain't my fault i didn't get one yet. Besides, i ain't ever had a real pokemon, i wouldn't know how to train it." "i could teach you then, duh" "i wouldn't want to intrude on-" then there was a knock on my door. "Oh, someone just knocked. I'll call ya later, alex" "ok, bye" "bye" I end the call and walk to my door and open it. At the door were my two other friends, damian and mia. "Hey shane." mia said, quite literally hopping on one foot to another, while damian just waved. "Hey guys, what're y'all doing here?" "didn't you get the message?" damian asked. "Message?" I looked at my phone and saw no new messages. "I didn't get this message." they both looked confused before damian got a look of realization. "Oops, i forgot to send it." "......really damian?" mia deadpanned at him. "Hey, don't start with me!" they were about to start arguing when i interrupted. "Hey! What was the message?" "right, right." mia cleared her throat before saying "we can get pokemon today!" and these were the words that would start my adventure.
