As Terrance wakes up, he feels as if he was sleeping for a millennia. Looking around in a somewhat recognizable room "Man, is it time already?" He glances over the clock "5pm?" he said. He got up, and he decided to have a look outside, he said to himself "it's only a matter of time. I will build it, again."
While looking at the bright sunny day, he gazes on a somewhat familiar machine. "No... This can't be, it can't be invented yet..." He runs towards it, anxious and also terrified "This has to be it..." As he was flustered, he decided to try and touch it see if it is real. "Ah.... As suspected, hallucinations... I have been getting them recently, if only THAT didn't happen that day. Reliving the past seems fine, it's actually great! Getting to change the ones that you can't, it's really." He then felt a sigh of relief. "Time to go to school"
5 years from now
"Hey Emilia, how long do we have left?" Terrance asked, "Hmm? Not much, about 5 – 6 hours I say." She then puts the screwdriver down and said "Let's take a break for a while... Besides, we don't even know if this thing works yet." She then heads down the hallway to the canteen, Terrance then walked up to the machine they are building, applies a few changes then leaves. "I wonder what to do know, maybe follow her?"
He decides to go to the canteen, as he has nothing else better to do. While waiting in line for his meal. He saw a somewhat familiar face in mind "Is that James?" He said, and as he was looking for a table, he saw that same person on an empty table, "Why not? Let's go there" He then continued on to the empty table where he saw the person, "Mind if I sit here?" Terrance said.
"Do I know you? And I may ask, are you... Terrance?" As Terrance was sitting down, readying for his meal, he then said "Why yes I am, and I believe you are... James?" curious he said yes, "I remember now, you are my classmate. Remember?" Terrance asked, "Ah, that one! You were quite silent at that time, as time passed on you were talkative from what I can remember" They then decide to eat their meals.
"So, anything new?" James asked curiously, Terrance then pulls out a research paper about Time Travel "So, this is what I've been doing, researching about time machines... We have actually been able to make one, though it is untested" While Terrance was speaking, James abruptly interrupts "So, you have been able to make one?! Interesting... Let's talk a little bit more shall we?" And surprised by the answer, they decided to talk a bit more.
"Anyways, even if this machine will be build, we are not even sure if it is safe for the human body to endure. Plus it has not even been tested yet." Terrance sadly says, despite all of that James curiously asked again "Even if it has not been tested, how were you able to make this happen in the first place?" While talking, Emilia abruptly interrupts saying "Terrance, what are you doing?" Terrance surprised by the sudden entrance of her he then said "Huh? Oh, just sharing some things."
"Better not be the research we've been doing..." Emilia said, Terrance then asked her "What if... I did?" But before Emilia could get a single word out, James interrupts by saying "Umm, well I am his former classmate back then... Nice to meet you, I'm James" With Emilia pausing a bit, she then asked him "James, Huh? What were you two doing anyways?" James then said "Oh, not much just having a conversation".
"Really? Then what do I see on the table?" Terrance forgetting that he put the research papers on the table immediately took notice of it and hid it, after that he said "Oh, that!... F-fine we were talking about the Time Machine we built...." Emilia realizing that fact she immediately said "Hmmp, if you're going to be like that I'm going to take my leave... I'm just going to eat at a distance" After that disaster of a conversation, they decided to talk for a little while longer.
