His voice slowly faded, as my heart leaped at his touch, making me feel ashamed because he was my brother.

I still had felt for him.

And that bothered me.

Jace stared at me for a few seconds, looking as if he was going to have a moment of weakness, but pulls his hand away, clearing his throat.

"You know what-" I took a step back, "I'm gonna-"

"Uh, yeah-" Jace quickly nodded, gesturing.

I pointed at him, before slowly walking away from him, running a hand through my hair.

-

I rubbed my temple once more after another rush, slowly walking toward the door to get some fresh air, when I heard Alec stop me, "Hey, are you leaving?"

I stopped and looked at him, "I- no, I'm just- stepping out for some air, that's all-"

Alec's expression dropped at my words, staring at me, "What are you talking about?-"

"Uhm- what do you mean what am I talking about?" I stare at him confused, "It was- pretty self explanatory-"

Alec blinks, looking regretful and guilty, swinging around in a turn and walks away quickly.

"Alec?-" I stammered, standing there for a few seconds in confusion, before going in the direction he went in.

When I reached the roof, my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach when my eyes laid upon Alec on the ledge, "Alec? Oh my god- what're you doing?"

"I know-" Alec was stammering, "I know you wish I was dead instead of Margaret-"

"Alec, no- I could never- I don't wish you were dead-" I shook my head quickly, taking a few steps toward him, "Just- just, take my hand? It's all gonna be okay, just please get off the ledge-"

Alec stares at me, his arms at his sides, breathing heavy, not saying another word, or making any movement toward me.

The hand I had reached out started to shake, going to my temple when the familiar rush filled through my body, immediately turning my head away when my eyes went black.

I stumbled onto the ground, breathing heavily.

The moment I had come down from it, Alec was falling back off the ledge, as I threw myself up, "Alec!-"

Magnus ran on the roof and caught him last minute, sedating him, pulling him off the ledge and setting him down on the ground.

Isabelle, Clary and Jace rushed after Magnus, Isabelle crouching, "What happened?-"

I stammered, "I- I don't know, he got all weird about me stepping out for some air- then- I came out to see him on the ledge and he started talking about how I hated him for killing my mom-"

"Alec?" Maryse came over by us.

"It's okay." Magnus said, "I sedated him when I pulled him from the ledge."

Jace points at Maryse when she crouched by Alec, "You know what, you stay away from him- you can't be trusted."

I blink, "What?-"

"I can't be trusted?" Maryse repeats, "Now you see why I was wary of having a party at a warlock's house-"

"Wow." Simon joins us, "What's going on here?-"

"Oh, what do you care?" Clary suddenly snapped at him, "Maia is at the bar-"

"Yes, and Alec's on the ground." Simon slightly pointed, "Is he gonna be okay?"
