Annabell 1
I was looking through some boxes from when me and my family moved into this house, that were catching dust in the attic. We never unpacked these boxes since there was nothing important in them but I was curious and bored so I went up to the attic and looked for the boxes marked "ANNABELL". I found three boxes so I looked through them. The first one was filled with all my old books. I flipped through them and remembered all the times I used to read them. I then found one that brought back a lot of memories. I picked it up and dusted off the book to reveal the title, "Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who's the craziest of them all?". I remember my boyfriend, Jason, had given me this when we first started dating. I had told him that I loved horror books and he got me the latest book from my favorite author. I put it aside so I could take it with me to my room. I looked through one of the other boxes and found all of my old CDs. Me and my cousin, Callie, bonded over these songs. I decided to take them since Callie was going to stay with us for the whole three months of summer. Her parents aren't the best parents and they don't really care where she is so she stays with me. The third box had stuff from my dresser from my old house. Mostly little dog figures that I loved to collect. I looked at all of them and when I got to the bottom, I saw a shiny black heart shaped box. It was my old jewelry box that my uncle had given me for my birthday, I picked it up and blew off the dust. I haven't seen this in years! I opened it and it had bracelets and a few photos. I grabbed one of the bracelets and tried it on. It fit me small since it was from my childhood. I remember my mom would always bring me these every time she came back from her business trips. My mom works with a company that travels a lot and she's required to go with them. The only thing I hate is that she would be gone for long periods of time. It started off with a week then three weeks then a month then four months. My dad was in a similar profession so he would be gone too. So most of the time, it was just me and my little brother, Toby. I took off the bracelet and put it back into the box. I then picked up a photo. It was a picture of two young girls who were playing in a playground. They had stopped and posed for the photo. They were wearing the same fluffy pink dress with jelly shoes. One of them was a redhead and the other brown as chocolate. A tear rolled down my cheek as I remembered the memory. I was the little redhead and the other girl was my ex-best friend, Katie. We used to be such great best friends but now it's like we're rivals. I'm not sure what happened to us since I did nothing bad to her. I stopped hanging out with her after she humiliated me at one of her parties. After that I tried to avoid her as much as I could. It was kind of hard since we go to the same school but now that it's summer, I have a lower chance of running into her. I looked at the box again. I took it with me along with my book and box of CDs. I climbed down the stairs and headed to my room. I passed by my brother's empty room. He was with my friends, Rose and Jeffrey. Jeffrey's truck wasn't working properly and he asked Rose and Toby for help which is weird since neither one of them know anything about cars, or trucks for that matter. But I didn't question anything. I got to my room and put down everything. I grabbed my jewelry box and put it on my dresser. I stared at it for a while before I went to my desk and sat down on my rollie chair. I then heard my phone ring. I took it out of my pocket and it was my boyfriend, Jason.

Jason: Hey Annie. Are we still meeting with the group at 6?

Me and my friends were going to meet at this new little ice cream shop down the road from that weird taco place.

Annabell: Yeah Jason. You still picking me up right????
Jason: Yeah
Annabell: Okay then. I'll see you in a bit
Jason: Okay :)

I put my phone down and grabbed my book from my bed. I opened it up and read for a while.
I heard a car honk outside so I looked out my window and Jason was there. He saw me and waved. I waved back. I grabbed my bag and ran down stairs. I grabbed the house keys since no one was home and locked the door. I went to his car. "Hey Annie." He hugged me. I hugged him back. "Is Toby coming?" He asked when we parted. "He's with Jeffrey and Rose. They'll meet us there." I said. We then got into the car and started to drive to the shop. "Hey guess what." I said. "What?" I
"Remember that book you gave me when we first started dating?"
"Uh the mirror one?"
"Yeah."
"Uh yeah, I remember. Didn't you lose it in the move?" He asked. "Yeah, but I found it!" I said, excitedly. "Well, you better have found it because I gave it to you!" He laughed. "Calm down, I found it when I was looking through some boxes in the attic."
"Well, I'm glad you found it." He smiled. I then felt my phone vibrate. It was Callie.
