Chapter 5 Part 1: Ruins of a Unfortunate Goodbye

  "I'm slowly getting them back, but can't really piece them together. But I have a feeling that I'm getting closer to finding out on where I'm from." (Y/n) answers Lala, who smiled happily. "That's good to hear, oh, one more thing." Lala said causing her (F/c) colored fur friend to tilt her head.

  "Have you gained a crush on him?"

  (Y/n) nearly tripped on her footing by hearing that. Her neck started to feel warm until she felt the heat to her face and ears. "W-WAAAAAAT! NO!" She practically screeched out, causing Walten to look back at the two.

  "Is every thing alright back there?" He said with a confused expression.

  "Y-yeah, everything is fine. Don't worry." (Y/n) stuttered out, only making Walten tilt his head, but shrugged before continuing to walk onwards. (Y/n) then looked at Lala, who had a smug look on her face.

"......Don't you say a word." (Y/n) said as she stuffed her paws into the hoodies pockets and continue to walk, leaving Lala to follow, laughing lightly. "I understand, (Y/n)."

Later

  After a while of walking, they started to enter another archway door, until they were stopped by coughing. (Y/n) and Walten turned to see Lala hunched over in a sitting position, holding onto her stomach.

  "Lala? Are you alright?" (Y/n) said while hesitantly placed a pawed hand on her back, giving it some light pats.

  "The Satellite Station isn't far from here. Can you hold on a little bit longer?" Walten asked, worried for his lost-new found friend. The only response he got was more coughing, it started to worry Walten more and (Y/n) scared to the point her necklace started to shine brightly along with a faint sound of a rapid heart beats.

  "C-come on Lala, we need to move forward!" She said getting onto her knees and placing them on Lala's shoulders. "P-p-please, you h-have to stay with u-us, we'll find a cure! So please, hold on a little bit longer." (Y/n) was practically begging, pleading, to get her friend to stay with them.

  But, it was already too late. The custards effects are starting to kick in, tormenting Lala's system, to the point it started to hurt her.

  "I....... Can't...... Go on..... Anymore..." Lala gasped out before another wave of pain coursed through her, causing her to grunt in pain. "My whole body.... Hurts....... I-I... I don't want to turn into a monster." Lala lets out a shaky breathes as her eyes began to droop. "I just.... Want to sleep..... For a few minutes."

  "No, nononononono! Don't go to sleep, you'll be just fine! Just stay strong a little bit longer!" (Y/n)'s eyes widen as tears dripped out of her eyes.

  "I don't ...... Think...... I'll be strong much longer...... (Y/n), Walten....." Lala rasped out, drawing Walten and (Y/n) attention. Lala looked up at them with pleading eyes, "Please.... End this tournament...... Please.... End.... Me."

  Walten and (Y/n)'s eyes widen more at those words, it struck them hard, like their stomach is about to give out on them.

  "NO! DON'T SAY THAT! PLEASE! DON'T DO THIS! YOU'RE...... You're the only one that's left..." (Y/n) said whimpers out as pain wrecked her body.

  Lala shook her head with a pained smile. "T-that's not true.... You... Have... Walten with you... At least.... I know.... That there is someone.... Watching over you..... It's time.... To let go..... I'm happy.... To have..... Known you... (Y/n)..... My friend..... My.... Little..... Sister..."
