My life hasn’t always been like this, in a straightjacket sitting in a padded room staring into space, remembering that tragic day. Why did I end up like this, I should be with my beloved Henry. My sweet beloved Henry I remember his black hair that swept over his beautiful ocean blue eyes. May he rest in peace.  I remember when he first confessed his love to me.

*Two years ago in the school library*

“Ah can’t reach. I hate being short!”

“Need some help?” said someone behind me.

I turn around to see Henry slouched and his black hair draped over his beautiful blue eyes. I manage to squeak out a yes. He smiled, straightened his back so he stood five inches taller than me. He walked towards me. He stared into my eyes like he was looking for something, then look up and grabbed the book I was trying to get. He handed me the book accidently brushing his hand against mine. It felt so warm, gentle but rough.

“Thank you Henry”

“You’re welcome. Um Jen”

“Yea”

His eyes dart to his right mumbled something to me, but I couldn’t hear him.

“What did you say?”

His face got a little pink and he mumbled again.

“I’m sorry I can’t understand you when you mumble”

“I SAID WILL YOU GO OUT ME!” He shouted out then covered his mouth. His face quickly turned from pink to red.

I just smiled and squealed yes. I had a crush on him but was too afraid to talk to him before.

*Two months later*

“Hey Jen I think it’s time I met your parents.”

His words sent an icy, prickle chill down my spine.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

I knew that wasn’t a good idea because my father was abusive. I still have the bruises from when he found out I got a B in one of my classes. If he found out I was dating someone. Oh God I don’t even want to think about what he would do to me. That’s the reason why my mother ran away. She got tired of hiding the bruises and living in fear.

“Hey Jen what’s wrong? You got this scared look on your face when I said I want to meet your folks. You know Jen you can tell me anything and I mean anything.”

“Can we get off that topic? Please?”

“Okay”

After that he hugged me tight like he was afraid of losing me. His hugs always made me feel warm and safe. We let go of each other and went our separate ways. As I turn around to walk home Henry grabbed my arm, spun me around and kissed my forehead.

“Be careful ok?”  He said with worry in his voice.

When I got home my father was sat at the kitchen table with an angry look in his eyes.

“So you’re back so soon you ungrateful child.”

He got up from his chair and started to walk toward me. A cold sweat, gut curling fear consumed me. I stepped back until my back was against the door.

“You thought I wouldn’t find out? Huh? You really thought that I wouldn’t find out? Who is he? Who is the punk? ”

while he was yelling at me he grabbed ahold of my short blond hair and threw me down on the ground away from the door and started to kick me. After a few stronger painful kicks he bent down grabbed my hair again forcing me to look in to his eyes.

“You better not see that boy again. You don’t want to upset daddy again do you?”

A clear diamond liquid spilled down from my eyes to my soft pink lips, a soft but uncontrollable whimper slip through my parted lips.

“Yes father”

“Good girl, don’t disappoint me like your pathetic mother.”

He let go of my hair and stood up. Suddenly our front door slams open with a big WHAM. My father turned and I lifted my head a little to see. It was Henry standing there with a look of pure anger.

“KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF HER YOU PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A MAN!” Henry screams.

“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO INTRUDE YOU LITTLE SH**!”

“I WON’T LET YOU GET AWAY FOR WHAT YOU DID FOR HER!’”

Henry ran up to my father and tried to tackle him to the floor. His effort to protect me was in vain for my father effortlessly threw him into the mirror on the wall.  After the mirror shattered behind him, my father pick up a shard of the mirror and stabbed Henry in the heart.

“NOOOOO!” I screamed as tears poured from my eyes. I ran and stumble to my beloved and fell to my knees.

“Make yourself useful and clean this up while I take care of the body. And if you call the police I’ll kill you too.”

All I could do is nod as my father dragged Henry into our back yard. I slowly started to clean the shattered mirror from the floor. I felt something snap deep inside of me and my mind began to wander to a dark place I had never been before. I stood up with a piece of the mirror in my hand and slowly walked to the back door. My father was digging a hole for Henry. I slowly and quietly walk up to my father and repeatedly stabbed him in the back. I stopped only when the police officer dragged me away from my fathers’ dead body.

*Present day*

“Good evening Miss. Green it’s time for your treatment again.”

I am drag from the padded room by two strong men wearing white. I put up a fight but I am unsuccessful. They tied me down quickly began the shock therapy. Everything starts to become a blur then darkness. My time has come where I can finally see my belo
