"You will be tested." Many voices speak in unison as a scene unfolds. A collection of corpses lie at my feet between me and some other people whom I don't know.

"You will be lost." The scene changes to a cityscape I've never seen before. A cityscape that is not on Kaller.

"You will be alone." Again the scene changes to a dark dessert setting with nothing around but a campfire.

"You will be abandon." The scene changes to blackness and Zara stands several meters away from me.

"Master," my feet stuck in place, "Help me master. I don't know what to do." I cry.

She turns from me heartlessly. I call out to her but it's useless. She disappears in the darkness. Somehow I'm forced to my knees, the din of a lightsaber buzzes from behind me. Cold footsteps slowly approach. Intense heat burns the back of my neck as I sit helplessly. The color of the saber fills the darkness all around me. I look over my shoulder at the red blade and a hooded figure. So much anger and hatred dwelled in the figure. I could almost hear the crystal in the lightsaber cry out.

"You will be betrayed."

The hooded figure raises the lightsaber prepared to cut me down but it dissipates before reaching my neck into what feels like water. It suddenly gets cold and my body begins to float.

"This is what could be, but not what has to be. You are no Jedi, nor sith. You are Ziir, A true balance in the force."

————————

I open my eyes surrounded by darkness and water. I desperately swim to the surface of the lake and gasp desperately for air. I swim far enough to make it to the shallow end if the lake. My arms exhausted, my legs tired I sits on my hands and knees staring at my reflection. Red eyes stare up at me, my dark skin complexion blends in with the murky water, black tight curly hair hold its place despite the amount of water weighing it down. I drag my body through sticks and stones and cough it out on the shore.

"What was that?"

After about ten minutes of shivering I finally pick myself off the ground and travel back to the house. One of the attackers still frozen in stasis right where I left him. I let him go. He drops to the ground.

"Where is your ship going?" I ask rather nicely.

The attacker begins to run. I let him go for a little before forcing him back against the wall. I apply force around his neck closing off his airways.

"Master Zara, she is a great teacher, great Jedi even, but I— I can't share her faith in the Jedi. My faith lies in the Force, all of the force, even if it means I have to secretly train in the dark side of the force," Lightning flickers at my fingers, "Is this what you want?"

He dangles against the wood of the house. His body putting up less and less of I fight I release my grip. He immediately begins to cough and fight for his breath. Slowly I approach him.

"S-stop!" He wheezes with his hands outstretched defensively. I grab his hands and help him to his feet.

"I just want what you took from me."

"Don't we all kid?"

"Tell me, if you run from here, what then?" He stands there with a blank stare. "You help me get Zara back, I'll help you." The man agrees to my terms and I turn in for the night.

"What's your name kid?"

"Ziir." I declare leading him into the house.

"Hatchet."
