Jennie walked to the kitchen and cut the bobblehead with a knife.

To her surprise there really was a small bug inside.

"No way!"

Dahyun smirked. "See? I'm not useless!"

"Yeah, yeah. It's the one thing you are useful for." Jisoo shrugged.

"Look at this." Jennie showed them the bug. "The YG logo is carved there."

"Wow that is dumb." Dahyun laughed.

Getting rid off the cameras Jennie felt comfortable in her home again.

Everything was cleared up, there was only one thing that still bothered her.

Mino wasn't caught yet. Where did he go? Will he return? Is he their enemy?

It was already late at night but she had to do a lot of paper work. Taking over a firm in a day is hard work.

There was a knock on the door of her office.

Before she could respond or her seceratry informed her of anything, her father entered.

"I heard you won." Jiyong leaned against the door. "I'm glad you didn't disappoint me.. Would have sucked to cut ties with you."

"Whatever." Jennie mumbled.

It's not like he calls or meets her anyway. He even saw Jisu like once.

"Did you already bid farewell to Taehyung?"

Jennie shook her head. "He is not leaving."

Jiyong raised his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

"You and uncle signed the papers that the firm is legally my property and I didn't fire Taehyung. I put him in charge of most of the work, so I can spend less time here. I will still make the crucial decisions but he will be the face." Jennie fixed her reading specs.

Jiyong and her uncle Daesung were already close to retire. Only a few more weeks left. They don't have the power to change anything anymore.

"Failures shouldn't be here, Jennie. We built this empire from scratch by being competitive and cutting dying leaves off." Jiyong glared at her. "Keep the family tradition going. You must rule with an iron fist."

"I will do things my way." Jennie shook her head.

"In that case, don't ever show your face to your mother or me again." Jiyong turned his back to her.

As he retreated Jennie took her glasses off.

They never loved her anyway.

It was better like this.

Yet it still hurt.

They were her parents, after all.

At night Jennie returned home. While she was working Jisoo was taking care of her daughter. By now she was sound asleep in her bed.

The thought alone made her smile, it felt kind of domestic.

She was considering asking Jisoo to be her girlfriend in the near future.

Because of the trial and bet between her family, as well as raising Jisu she didn't see the point in doing that. She wouldn't have time for a partner but Jisoo reassured her she didn't have to give her much time, only all of her.

Hopefully this will turn out to be better than her first relationship.

She wouldn't be able to take another heartbreak.

Of course it won't be the same.

Jisoo is much better for her than Jimin.

"What's with that serious face?" The raven poked her nose. "If it's about your parents, they don't deserve to be occupying any second in your head. Let me take your mind off things."

Jennie smiled because that's exactly what she was already doing.

"How?" She humoured anyway.

"Like this."

In a matter of seconds Jennie closed her eyes, finding soft lips moving against hers.

She enjoyed the closeness as hands were wrapped around her neck and breasts pressed against hers.

That was a nice way to keep her mind empty.

But everything comes to an end.

Jisoo wasn't spending the night and Jisu is still sleeping, so obviously they stopped before it became too heated.

"How will I be able to sleep now." Jennie groaned, opening her door for Jisoo to leave.

"Think of me?" Jisoo grinned.

"Definitely not." Jennie shoved her shoulder.

That way she won't find sleep at all.

"Okay but if you really can't sleep you can call me and we will talk the whole night." Jisoo easily offered.

Jennie placed a kiss on Jisoo's red lips. "I'm going to keep that an option."

"Don't call someone else." Jisoo teased.

"I won't." She hugged her hard.

Jennie being clingy is making Jisoo's heart do backflips.

If Jisoo wasn't sure of it before, now she is certain, Jennie returns her feelings.

"And you still question why I call you Jendeuk." Jisoo hummed and pressed her cheek against Jennie's. So soft.

"I'm not questioning it. I'm forbidding you from calling me that in public." She pouted, her cheeks puffing up and turning pink.

"I can't help it. I really can't. You are way too cute." Jisoo sighed. Her heart keeps running faster.

One of these days the dumpling will make it combust in her chest.
