We arrive at the base, a large warehouse. Wow, so original (note the sarcasm). "Can we make this quick guys? It's past Jay's bedtime," Sam says, almost bored already.

"Okay guys, in and out. Sam and Nat, you two go in through the front entrance. Try and find any files and information you can. Clint and Tony, up on the roof of the building. If there's a way in, search the second floor.

"Peter, you take the door at the side with Jay. Scott you take the opposite one, and Bucky and I will take the back. Wilson, you stay in the air. Tell us what you find. Clear?" None of us respond, instead taking the positions we are assigned with.

On Captain's signal, Sam and I enter the building. We quietly open the door as to not attract any attention. There are immediately two rooms, one on the left, one on the right. I mime for her to take the right one. We both wait behind the door, before quickly standing at the entrance, pointing our guns. Nothing, just a few chairs and a table. I look at Sam and she shakes her head. I mimic her action before moving on.

We continue on throughout the building, and after the third time of the same thing happening, Sam speaks up, "something isn't right."

"There's no one here," I add.

"They must've gotten intel we were coming and left. See if they've left anything behind, but don't let your guard down," Steve orders. We do as he says, still finding nothing. By the time we get to the fifth room, a sense of realisation washes over Sam's face.

"It's a decoy," she whispers.

"Guys," Peter pipes in, "I can hear a beeping, and it's getting quicker."

"EVERYBODY RUN! IT'S A DECOY! GET OUT!" Suddenly I can hear the beeping to. Sam looks at me, "jump on!" I look at her confused until she shifts into a cheetah. I gladly comply and she sprints out of the building. As we get to the front entrance, I hear a small explosion, followed by another slightly bigger one. I duck and hold on to Sam tighter.

As we come outside, the explosions are catching up with us. I look to see everyone at the quinjet except us. I feel very odd suddenly, and I look down to see green tendrils weaving around my body. They raise me in the air, before shooting me at what feels like a hundred miles per hour. As I get to the quinjet, I am safely put down (I may be slightly flustered, but I'll never admit it). I then realise what happened. Sam said she has telekinesis.

When I look back, she is only just out of the explosion, the fire touching her hind legs. Out of nowhere there is a blue and silver blur. When I blink to get a closer look, Jay is resting Sam, now in human form, on the grass in front of us. Luckily we parked the quinjet a safe distance away from the warehouse, so no one was injured, especially thanks to Sam's warning.

Sam gets up and, glares at Jay? "What were you thinking?!" She yells at him.

"Oh, my bad. I just didn't want to watch my mom die," he says sarcastically.

"So you risk your life?!" She shouts. We all kind of step away from the situation, terrified of what the duo could do when mad (I wasn't scared. Duh).

"Yeah! Because apart from Gramps (this is now what Jay calls Bucky. Deal with it :) ) you're my only living family member! Excuse me for not wanting to be an orphan!" Jay yells back, tears in his eyes.

Sam kneels down to his height, her features softer than before, "Jay, never risk your life for me. It's not worth it," she says softly, holding his cheek.

"Yes it is. If it means your life, then it's a priority," he says adorably, hugging Sam. God sometimes I forget that the kid is only four. "Anyway, I knew I could save," he adds cheekily into the hug.

"Ya know, I can ground you. You did something stupid and reckless, and parents ground kids for shit like that," Sam says with a smirk. He pushes her softly before making his way into the quinjet.

"Oh, and Bruce! Make sure Mom gets her legs checked out," he says into the quinjet. He looks back at a confused Sam, "I can literally smell the blood," he says knowingly.

"Yeah same," Peter says with his nose scrunched up. "Get that checked out or something." He follows Jay into the quinjet. Sam shakes her head and walks in, giving us full view of what the boys were talking about.

"Shit, Sam! Now!" Bucky says, like the concerned father he is.
