Quest Beyond the Light

Beginning - Chapter 1

( Cherry's POV )

Cherry knocked on Edd's apartment, waiting behind the door. She needed to get the others before she started the mission. 

Soon enough, Edd opened the door, Matt and Tom behind Edd. Cherry waved, smiling widely.

"Hi! I need to ask you guys a question," Cherry said, trying to sound innocent. Tom lifted an eyebrow while Matt studied himself in the mirror. 

"I need you guys to go on a long mission!" Cherry announced, looking at them excitedly. She assumed that they've been wanting a new adventure by now. But, the group frowned, glancing around. 

"Uhhh what kind of mission?" Edd asked, confused.

"Well, Red leader wants me to go defeat the yellow army with my friends," Cherry said, watching them think for a second, but they nodded. At least it would end the boring day they almost had.

"Okay, I need you guys to wear these red soldier uniforms, just trust me on this," Cherry continued, shoving a red army uniform in Matt, Edd and Tom's hands, rushing off, still wearing hers. She waited outside, hoping they'd hurry up. Her plan was sure to work, and she was excited to use it. But, she thought of everything that might go wrong. What if the yellow army kills us on sight? Cherry thought, nervous suddenly. Nah, I could just use my sniper. Cherry thought instead, grabbing her sniper. It was transportable, so she quickly folded it into a square thing and put it in the square holder on her back. She put a backpack on that had food, medical supplies and other things that would be important. 

Soon, the group walked out of the room in their uniforms. Matt posed a bit in the mirror they held. Note to self, never give Matt a phone. Cherry thought, silently giggling. 

"Okay, here's you're foldable weapons," Cherry said, first handing tom a foldable harpoon that had many secrets to be found in it. Then, she handed Edd a couple cola cans and then gave Matt a mirror. She slapped Edd's hand when they tried to open the can.

"Edd, those cans are bombs!" Cherry yelled, angry and scared. Edd stuffed the cola cans into the backpack they had, then Cherry turned her attention to Matt, grabbing the mirror out of their hands when they almost shined it at themselves.

"Matt, I'm going to keep this for a little just so you don't....harm anyone accidentally when we're on our trip," Cherry warned, putting the mirror into her backpack. 

"Tom, the harpoon is kinda like those guns that you can climb with, so you can bring it back to you whenever," Cherry told Tom, then looked at the stairs. Matt was pouting while she saw Edd try not to open the cans of cola. 

"Okay, let's go!" Cherry announced, racing downstairs and outdoors, the others following. Cherry led the way to the forest, smiling at the other soldiers who were guarding the area. She raced to the dock, where she greeted HER old friend.
