"Senjuro-kun!" She yelled, briefly ranning towards him and falling in the process, "Y/N-Chan, are you okay?" Senjuro asked concerned, She seems to have disquieted the boy because of her lack of grace.
"Ye-yeah" She assured, standing up steadily then dusting herself after.
"Why are you here?" Senjuro asked, putting the broom he was holding aside. "Oh, I wanna ask if you're free today" Y/N answered her eyes glowed brightly as she awaited for his reply
"Sorry, father isn't in a good mood"He explained, Y/N frowned at this and asked "His drinking again? How's your brother?"

He nodded and said "He's on a mission right now, he might be back soon"Grabbing the broom once again and continued doing the chores alone.

'Why is he always so dull?'

"Say Senjuro-kun, why not go play with me instead of sweeping like you always do"She suggested, grasping his wrist and pulling it, making the broom fall to the ground and ranning away with him

"B-but- Father will get mad and-"

"I'll take care of you, alright, for now, let's have fun" She reassured giving him a huge grin of excitement
The boy looked hesitant at first but decided to go with the flow

"That was fun, now wasn't it Senjuro-kun?" She asked with such enthusiasm as he finished his onigiri that Y/N had bought for him.
"Yeah" He only muttered, deep inside he was anxious the whole time.
His eyes gazed at the ground only to feel another hand ontop of his.
He looked up to see his female friend staring at him with a genuine smile

"Let's go home now"

The two walked home together and once they reached the Rengoku Residence, they saw man, whose hair identical to Senjuro.

"Kyojuro!"

Senjuro ran towards his older brother, greeting him, Y/N followig behind. "Where'd you been? Father must be worried" He said, glancing at the girl and giving her a small but courteous smile.

"Bye!" She waved at tbe distance and walked her way home safely

About a week had passed and Senjuro had shared to his friend a short account of his older brothers death, Y/N could sense the grief in his words and she couldn't help but feel bad herself.

It's not only the bad news, her parents and siblings decided to move to Matsuhade Sanctuary, miles away from here and they made it very certain and clear when they told her.
She didn't want to leave, she would never, all of her friends she made here would've been a waste.

She didn't knew the reason but she was too young to stay and live her all alone while her family is thousands of miles away. Her parents wouldn't let her either.
She had to say goodbye and she wanted this to be made memorable and happy, like she always does.

When Senjuro received her letter, he felt dejected than he already is but knowing her, she would've wanted him to be contented instead, he did. He may had been sad that she left but he was happy she came into his life

When they meet again, it's no turning back, both will live together and forever she'll stay
