"Hmph!" Was all he replied with as he returned to the seat next to you.
"Hey Katsuki, tell me about your childhood!" You demanded. The playground in front of you prompted this question.
"Why do I have to?" He looked irked.
"I bet you were even more hot-headed as a kid." You laughed at the thought. "Since your quirk is so powerful, I think it's safe to say you were the leader of your friend group."
Bakugou stayed silent and you took that as confirmation.
"I'm right, aren't I?" You chuckled at the thought.
"Yeah, so what about it?!" He stood up and yelled. "Trynna pick a fight?!"
"It was just a lucky guess!" You laughed even harder now. "Then tell me about your hero costume."
"I don't want to!" He kicked at the ground.
"I bet you had it designed that way because it looked cool, like you came straight out of a video game."
At your words, Bakugou's face flushed. "Got a problem?!"
"No, it was another lucky guess." You kept laughing.
His reactions were priceless.
"Damn it! Stop laughing dumbass!" He yelled. "By the way, I know nothing about you. What's your quirk? Healing people or some shit?!"
You finished your crepe and stood up.
"Yeah, it involves sewing things together using energy. It can be my energy or the other person's energy, and it works especially well on human bodies." You smiled semi-sweetly. "Sewing... It's so uncool, huh? Especially when you have such an awesome quirk."
Your reaction shocked Bakugou. He wasn't expecting for you to respond with such little sass.
You took note of this and wanted to lighten the mood. "But that's not all." You said while walking toward the trash can.
With ease, you jumped on top of the garbage collector and propelled yourself off of it. Mid-air, you did a flip and landed directly in front of Bakugou. It was like you were doing gymnastics.
"Check out my other ability." You laughed at his dumbfounded expression.
"Then you have two quirks like that half-half bastard?" He asked with all seriousness.
He wasn't stupid. No normal person could complete the jump that you just did.
"Well if you put it that way, kinda." You nodded.
Bakugou chuckled at this. It was his turn to make fun of you. "Naturally born with great reflexes? That's like you just came out of a manga or some shit."
You were surprised by his retort and your expression softened.
"So in order to move freely, that's why your costume looks like..." He trailed off and averted his gaze from your body. It seemed he remembered what you wore earlier today.
It was a skin-tight bodysuit with a large white strip running down the center of your body, framing your chest. Dark blue accents ran up your legs in place of boots, and black fabric ran down your sides from your wrist to your thighs. Mesh was used to cover places that weren't protected like your shoulders and back.
"H-how the hell did you come up with something like that anyway?" Bakugou blushed at the thought.
"One of my favorite heroes, Midnight, made it for me." You blushed. It wasn't a lie. It was true, and your Granny Chiyo almost killed her for it.
"The R-rated hero?" He stated while expressionless. You couldn't tell what he was thinking.
"Hey, do you live with your parents?" You tried to change the subject. Talking about R-rated things with a high school boy wasn't something you wanted right now.
"Why do you care?" Bakugou asked in response.
"I'm just curious!" You playfully pouted at his quick retort. "Every family is different right? Some people live with both parents, some live with one, some live alone."
"I live with both parents." Bakugou sat down again on the bench behind him. "They're fucking annoying." He clicked his tongue.
"Whatever." You laughed at this, taking a seat next to him once more. "I bet your parents are wonderful people."
"I just told you that they're annoying!" He always gave the most over-the-top reactions. "What about you?" The blonde asked while staring straight into your eyes.
"I'm adopted, but I live alone." You laughed. "Although my grandma comes over almost every day."
Since Bakugou didn't know how to reply to this, the both of you stayed silent. He was in deep thought about how that situation looked like.
It was short-lived and interrupted by a ringtone.
Bakugou's phone seemed to be going off.
"Are you going to pick it up?" You asked, slightly shocked that he had let it ring for so long.
"If it's important, they'll call a second time." He brushed it off.
Eventually the phone stopped ringing.
"I see." You stared at the playground in front of you. You noted how late it was based on the golden glow that filled the area. 'When did the shadows get so long?' You totally lost track of time.
Bakugou's phone rang once more and he picked it up after letting it ring a bit.
Once he answered, he stayed silent.
You could hear a voice yelling on the other side of the phone.
"I got it, old lady!" Bakugou yelled into the phone and hung up while the person on the other line was still yelling.
"Your mom?" You laughed. "I see where you got your vocal cords from."
"Shut up." He stood up. "Anyway it's late. Where do you live?"
"A-Are you going to walk me home?" You asked in disbelief. You didn't expect to make this much progress in just a couple days of knowing one another.
"Yeah what about it? You want me to leave you here alone?" Bakugou began walking away. "So you coming or what?"
"Katsuki." You tried to gain his attention but he just kept walking.
'He's ignoring me again?' You sighed.
"Katsuki! I live in the opposite direction!" You yelled.
"Well why didn't you say something sooner?!" He made a 180 degree turn and walked toward you.
