The history of Witchcraft is always a difficult topic; mainly because most periods of the years admitting being a witch or doing witchcraft was way too dangerous to even think about admitting. Records and traditions were destroyed and/or lost as witches had to hide their practices of witchcraft. Who were witches? What did they look like? What are witches?
Witches have been viewed in many forms from the two from the classic movie of Wizard of Oz to a suburban house wife. Truth has it that a witch can look just as ordinary as you and I. The real history of witches is dark and more often than less, deadly for the witches who are witches or are just thought to be witches.
Witches were first perceived as evil human beings, devil worshipers by early Christians in Europe which also so happened to create the icon holiday: Halloween. Early witches were thought to be pagans doing the devils dirty work. However, a lot of the witches were simply natural healers also known as wise women. Simplest meaning is the profession the natural healers are misunderstood then and even now it is still misunderstood by millions of people. There are two types of witchcraft: Black Magic and White Magic. Not many people are involved in White Magic except for natural healers who like to use witchcraft to help and make things good. Black magic is the most popular in the witchcraft world because people can get what they often want by just a spell. Black magic and white magic can both release something evil whether you are meaning to or if the spell wasn't done correctly.
