The she cat blinks tears away from her eyes. She looks up the the starry night sky.” Moon clan, please take care of Tinykit and Cherrybranch well.” She let out a cry of sadness.”Go get some rest Cloudwhisker, you deserve it.” meowed the leader in concern. “ Can I spend one more minute with Tinykit?” The leader nodded in reply.

“Wow looks like things are really tough in Flame clan.” Ashkit turned to face Stripedkit. “We should go.” “What are you doing here?” snarled a high pitched voice.

Ashkit was too scared to turn around and face the cat who spoke those words. He could feel his own paws trembling.”We have enough troubles to deal with in Flame clan, and Rain clan kits spying on us is not going to be one of them.” said the Flame clan warrior. How does he know we’re Rain clan cats? We rolled in the disgusting fox dung just to hide our scent!  He felt a stinging blow on his ear. Rust colored blood was dripping from his wound. Ashkit slowly turned around to face this cat. He was a large light brown cat. What should I do? Fight? Run? Stripedkit is shaking. Ashkit faces the large muscular cat. “I-I’m sorry. We-we got a little lost. We didn’t mean to intrude.” The cats hazel eyes hardened. “Well, you did and and an intruder is a intruder and we can’t have any in Flame Clan territory.”

The tom lunges at the two kits and sends Ashkit flailing into the air. He hits a tree with a disturbing crack. Ashkit yowls out in pain. He sees Stripedkit go flying through the air. She screeches in pain. Ashkit couldn’t bear to see his friend get hurt. Alright. I was fine with you beating me up, but you don’t hurt my friends. He lunges at the large tom with his paws outstretched..

The tom let out a yelp of pain. He noticed a burn mark the shape of his paw on the

Flame Clan warrior’s shoulder. Did I do that? The warrior collapsed to his paws in agony. He shared a glance with Stripedkit who looked just as confused as he was. “How in the name of Moon Clan did you do that?”

Ashkit looked down at his paws. How did I do that? “I don’t tell secrets to enemy clans.” hissed Ashkit through clenched teeth. “ But I will be happy to demonstrate some more.” Ashkit unsheathed his claws and raked it across the tom’s back. The warrior screeched a bloodcurdling noise. This time, the warrior was thrown against a tree that was at least ten fox lengths away.

“Thornpelt!” meowed a voice from behind. It’s the same cat I saw earlier with the kit. I think the kit’s name was Emberkit“Who did this to you?” mews the she cat. Thornpelt flicked his tail towards Ashkit. The she cat turned around to face him. Her eyes were filled with shock. “It’s you.” she whispered. What does she mean? She switched her gaze back to Thornpelt. “Are you okay?” Thornpelt gave the she cat a brief nod. She gasped as she noticed the burnt mark. “ You’re burnt!”

The she cat shifted her eyes back to Ashkit.”I knew the prophecy would make them strong but not this strong.” she muttered to herself. What? Is she talking to me? She is definitely affected by the Greencough if being mouse brained is a side effect.

“You have bees in your brain.” meowed Ashkit. Her whiskers twitched with surprise when she realized that he heard her silent remark.

“Intruder!” yowled a tom’s voice from behind. Ashkit could feel the tom’s claws sink into his shoulder. He grabbed Ashkit by the scruff and sent him flailing into the air. He fell to the ground with a huff. “That’s what happens to intruders.” sneered the tom.
