So, I was trying to use braids on the top, but I felt like they were always looking like cornrows pfft. If you have any ideas on how to avoid that, let me know :3

I was experimenting with braids a little bit on this one. Originally, the braids were smaller and they ran along the top of her head, but they looked like cornrows. I tried adding a bit of fringe to the front to see if it reduced the look. I ended up scrapping that, and I tried one small braid crown and two larger braids on top.

Once again, I tried adding fringe to see if the cornrow look would be muted. I don't know if it worked or not?

Her hair will be curly in final designs, but I was mainly working with the top of her head lol. In this one, I tried doing one big braid on the top of her head.
