'JJ?' you say.

'Chloe!' he shouts back.

You stare at him in disbelief for a moment, before you snap out of it and invite him inside.

'Sit down.' You say, as you open the fridge and toss him a can of Red Bull, which you knew he loved.

'Is it really you? What are you doing here?' you ask.

You used to go to school with him, and you were best friends. He always made you laugh with his weird sense of humor.  Some people thought he was crazy, but that’s why you liked him. He was like a big brother to you. Then he became famous on YouTube, and left to focus on his career. You lost touch with him, but you understood because he was so busy all the time. And hey, things change and life goes on. You watched his videos now and then to see how he was doing, smiling proudly to yourself at how far he’d come. You hadn’t seen him in so long. And now he was here.

'I came to visit my old town, I was just casually driving through the neighbourhood and I remembered you. So I thought I'd check if you were still here. And you are.'

He came over to your house a lot, so he pretty much knew how to get here by heart. You look out of the window, and stare in awe at his flashy expensive car that’s parked there.

'Where are your parents, man?' JJ says, looking around.

'You just missed them. They left to go on holiday like a half hour ago.'

'Serious? They left you here alone? For the whole summer?'

'Yeah. They always do that, remember? Nothing new.' You sigh. Your parents weren't exactly responsible, they left you behind a lot, but it didn't bother you now that you were 18.

'Won't you get all lonely?' he asks.

You shrug, even though it was true. All your friends were busy camping and travelling the world and getting a tan by the beach and you pretty much had to stay in the same country while your parents were away.

'Why don't you come chill with me and my friends for a bit?' he offers.

You knew who the Sidemen were, you’d seen them in one of JJ’s videos. They seemed like a pretty cool bunch of guys. Your parents wouldn’t be back for a long while, and you missed hanging out with JJ and now you had a chance to. Besides, it’s not like you had anywhere else to go. So why not?

You grab your keys, pack up all your clothes and things and within a few minutes you’re sitting in JJ’s awesome car, heading for the Sidemen’s house.
