PROLOGUE.

*KAI'S POV*

Breathes in. Breathes out.

I can hear the loud chattering of my classmates.

Breathes in. Breathes out.

I can hear the sound of chairs being dragged.

Breathes in. Breathes out.

I can smell the strong scent of citrus cologne.

My eyes flew open. Ugh. Why am I even here again?

Right, school. It's that time of the year again. The time where I have to face boring classmates, do annoying assignments and projects, and most of all, the time where I have to handle stress and emotional breakdown because of bullies. And the scent of citrus cologne just reminded me of that.

"Hey, nobody!"

Here he comes.

"You should really stop going to school. Nobody will notice you gone anyway."

I adjusted my glasses.

"Ignoring me, huh? Right. Afterall, you're a nobody. You're not supposed to exist here. Right, man?"

Then they laughed. Wow. It wasn't even funny.

I might as well just get out of here. There's no teacher anyway. Lunch is coming up soon too. And just like what he said, no one will notice me anyway.

I stood up, clutching a book near my chest. And I was so close to escaping if only he didn't start again.

"Hey, what's this?"

He held my phone up, only holding the strap which served as its support.

"Wha-!" My mouth opened in protest as I turned to face him. And there he was. Smiling in his most wicked and yet alluring smile. Staring at me teasingly with his ever beautiful blue eyes. But no matter how beautiful and close to perfection he is, he is still the person I hated the most. Afterall, he's the baddest (yes, i'm making my own words) of all the bad guys. There may actually be a possibility that he's a descendant of Lucifer.

"Give me back my phone." I demanded, trying my very best to sound natural and calm.

"Hm. Cool strap. A book, huh? What's so fun in reading books anyway?"

"What's so fun in bullying people like me?"

"Oh, it's definitely fun." He smirked.

I stopped myself from rolling my eyes.

"Give me back my phone."

"Say please."

His friends laughed. Obviously they find this scenario entertaining. My classmates are having fun too.

Okey, Kai. Just swallow your pride. You don't want to trouble this guy.

"Give me back my phone, please."

I almost choked on the word please.

He gave me his devious smile.

"Sure. Here, catch."

But instead of throwing it to my direction, he threw it at the blackboard. My phone made a very loud thud before it crashed into pieces on the ground. And I stood there, dumbfounded.

He laughed along with his friends as I made my way to my phone.

"It was an old model anyway. You should thank me, Dane. Now you have a reason to buy a new one. A nicer phone at least." He flashed his demonic smile before going out of the room.

I must not cry. I must not cry.

Inhale. Exhale.

I went out of the room, taking my destroyed baggage with me. It's completely destroyed. I took the sim out and the strap before throwing it to the garbage can.

I am so mad! Not because my phone is now in the trash. Well probably yes. But mostly because I won't be able to check my account every minute!

You see, I may be Kailey Dane, the most unpopular, unnoticed (except for bullies) girl in this school, but on the online world, I am quite famous. I am the popular author of this website who writes stories about romance, which I'm not even a pro at. Because obviously, I haven't even dated anybody yet. I haven't experienced the feeling of falling in love. But somehow, writing stories, placing myself on the shoes of my heroines, I can somewhat imagine it. But now, what? My phone's dead. Literally. It was brutally murdered by that demon, Rave Grey!

Sigh.

Now that I think about it, why don't I do the same to him? How about writing a book where that Grey is killed? That would be a good revenge.

I smiled to myself.

That's it! Just so you wait, Grey. You'll definitely be the hero of my new novel. And I'll make sure that you're gonna hate it.
