"Hand me that screwdriver." My mom said catching my attention.
I tossed her the screwdriver that was next to my leg. I guess she figured that shit out which is good because I couldn't.
The room fell silent. The only thing you heard was my mom moving around and the tapping of my nails on my phone screen.
It lasted for a good 20 minutes until my mom spoke up.
"Keke?" She asked and I looked over at her.
"Yes ma'am?"
"Have you talked to Christian?" She asked making me look back down at my phone.
I told my mom about me and Cj breaking up. I never told her the reason why because I feel like that's gonna make her show resentment towards him. Plus she's gonna tell the whole family and I wanna save myself the embarrassment.
"Last night." I said simply without looking up at her.
"Mhmm...I know my child." She said and I shrugged.
"I did mama, why would I lie?"
"Because you're young and immature." She paused before continuing. "All I'm saying is don't bring that innocent child in y'all mess, nor use her as a pawn."
