Louis Solé is one of France's most beloved writers and directors, known for his gritty, alternative films that pioneered a new perspective on Paris. He is known to portray the City of Lights as a slightly different place based on his own upbringing in the cities suburbs. His new movie begins filming in less than a month, and is said to be loosely based on Louis' own boyhood. Described by Solé as 'A mind-bending, backwardly told account of a struggling but charming boy which unfolds over the course of the film'.
As if this collaboration with Netflix isn't enticing enough, the movie is starring young heartthrob and half-french actor Timothée Chalamet.

Chalamet will play the lead, Samy Bisset, starring alongside Marion Cotillard, who will play a social worker, Bridgette Volant.
The film is due to be released next September, and is dedicated to Louis Solé's social worker from childhood.
