In the 24th minute we get a free kick deep in our own half so Alyssa takes it. While waiting for the free kick to be taken I walk up the sideline while looking at the keeper then I subtly motion to Alyssa to put the ball in front of me. Alyssa acknowledges me so I start making my way towards the space as the ref blows her whistle. When the whistle blows Alyssa launches the ball ahead of me so I easily lose my defender and run onto the ball as it bounces ahead of me. Once I have the ball at my feet I look up and see everyone streaming into the box so I cross the ball into the box and watch as Sam heads the ball past the keeper putting us 2-0 up.
Once the ball hits the net the Tower of Power comes over and hugs me then the girls hug us as well before we head upfield for the restart.
In the 40th minute Tierna intercepts a pass then she looks up field and see's me streaking up field so she launches the ball into my path. I then run onto the ball then she cuts inside and bend a ball around the Colombian keeper and into the net putting us up 3-0.
After the ball hits the net I kiss the tattoo of my Mom's name on my wrist then I hug the rest of the team.
The rest of the first half goes by quickly so when the half ends I head into the locker room and I rest while Vlatko does his halftime team talk. Once halftime is over I head back onto the field then I restart the game.
In the 50th minute we win another free kick in our half after Christen was taken down by Lady Andrade so I decided to take the free kick. When the ref motions me to take the free kick I look up and see space ahead of Lindsey so I boot it towards the space. Once the ball leaves my foot I watch as the ball falls in front of Lindsey then I watch as she blasts the ball past the Colombian keeper making it 4-0.
After Lindsey scores I hug her then head upfield and prepare for the restart.
In the 55th minute of the game we win a corner so I walk around the box until Christen crosses the ball in. When Christen takes the corner she floats the ball right to Julie, who heads the ball, but it hits the bar. The ball ricochets out to me so I volley it past the Colombian keeper and into the net making it 5-0.
"HOLY SHIT." Kelley yells as I kiss the tattoo of my Mom's name.
The girls hug me then we get back to our side and prepare for the restart.
In the 60th minute the whistle blows then the ref points to the sub board so I look and see the number 14 up in red and the number 15 up in green.
"Fuck's sake." I mumble as I walk off the field.
As I walk off the field I get a standing ovation so I clap the fans then I blow by Pinoe and sit on the bench.
"Well Damn Munchkin." Ash says. "That's one Hell of a homecoming."
"Kinda annoyed I didn't get 3 assists to make it even with my three goals."
"Yeah." Carli says and laughs. "You're definitely your Mom's daughter."
"Are you ever gonna be cool with Pinoe?" Moe asks.
"Probably not." I admit and shrug. "Not my fault she opened her big mouth."
A moment later a couple of the girls are told to go warm up so I watch the rest of the game
After the game ends, with us winning 5-0, I head out to the refs and grab the game ball since I had three goals and two assists. I then head to the locker room and put the ball safely in my locker. Once my game ball is safe and sound I head back into the tunnel.
"AUDREY." Someone shouts so I look towards the sound of the shout.
"What?"
"I need to speak with you."
"Who are you?" I question
"I'm your father."
"No you aren't."
"Yes Audrey I am." The dude says as one of my teammates approaches.
"Everything alright?" Julie asks
"Just talking to my daughter." The dude says with a smirk.
"Is everything okay?" Julie whispers in my ear.
"Help." I whisper.
Julie nods then leaves and heads out of the tunnel only to return a few seconds later with my Mom and police
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Mom seethes so I wrap my arms around her.
"Nice to see you too Hope."
"Is he really?" I question and look at my Mom.
"Yes baby." Mom says and sighs. "He's the person who got me pregnant."
"Come give your dad a hug." My 'father' says and opens his arms.
"Fuck you." I say and look at the man. "You left us. You left us to fend for ourselves, hell you left Mom to be both Mom and Dad all because you were too stupid to man up and raise me. You have no right to call yourself my father. All you are and all you ever will be to me is a sperm donor. You are nothing but a pathetic, immature, spineless, waste of space."
"Let's go sir." The security people say then they lead him away.
Once the dude is away I look at my mom.
"Mama?"
"Yes Babygirl?" Mom asks.
"I wanna go home."
