She walked into the balcony and texted Kartik.
"Did you eat your lunch ?", Naira texted him.

"Mr Verma....please ask Kushal to show me his presentation once", Kartik instructed.
"Yes sir", Mr Verma replied.
Just then, Kartik got a message on his phone. He checked the message.
It was from an unknown number.
"Did you eat your lunch?", Kartik read the message.
"Who are you?", Kartik texted back.
The scene shifts to Naira
Naira was humming a song that she got the message.
"Who are you?", Naira read out Kartik's message.
"I'm Naira. Didn't you save my number?", Naira messaged back.
The scene shifts to Kartik
"I'm Naira. Didn't you save my number?", Kartik read Naira's message.
Kartik sighed in frustration.
"I'm busy. I'll talk to you later ", he typed.
The scene shifts to Naira

Naira sighed in hopelessness.
"He didn't even save my number!", Naira said to herself.

At night
Kartik is in his car. Just then, he gets Manish's call.
"Yes dad ", Kartik said receiving the call.
"Where are you now?", Manish asked him strictly.
"On my way home", Kartik replied.
"Good. You should pick Naira from her house and bring her with you. This is final. No further arguments", Manish said and cut the call.
"But Shubham-", Kartik began to say but then he noticed that the call was cut.
Kartik punched the car's window in frustration.

SINGHANIA SADAN
"Who will come to pick you up Naira?", Naksh asked Naira.
"Shubham. I messaged him. Actually, Kartik had some work in the office so he couldn't come ", Naira replied.
Just then,
"Naira", Naira heard Kartik's voice.
Naira turned back to look at Kartik standing at the doorstep.
"Arey jamaisa", Bua dadi said surprised.
Everyone including Naira went towards Kartik.
"Radhe Krishna ", Kartik greeted.
"Radhe Krishna ", the Singhanias greeted except Naira.
"Arey jamai sa...why are you standing outside? Come in na", Akshara said.
"Not now maa....I've come to pick Naira. Everyone's waiting at home", Kartik replied smiling.
"This man knows smiling also", Naira thought.
"Arey aise kaise....won't you have something? Tea, coffee , snacks?", Naitik asked.
"No papa thanks", Kartik replied.
"If we would have known that you're coming....we would have surely made something special for you. Right Naksh?", Keerthi asked.
"Right", Naksh replied.
Kartik smiled and looked at Naira.
"Naira....come on. We are getting late", Kartik said.
Naira nodded. She turned towards everybody and hugged them.
"Take care of yourself laado", Akshara said.
Naira nodded.
Kartik and Naira began to leave that Bua dadi stopped them.
"Jamaisa", Bua dadi said.
Kartik and Naira turned back.
Bua dadi walked towards Kartik and handed him some money as shagun.
"Bua dadi....what's the need of this?", Kartik protested.
"Keep it jamaisa. You've come here for the first time after marriage. Keep it as shagun", Bua dadi urged Kartik to keep it.
Kartik smiled faintly and nodded.
Kartik and Naira sat in the car. Naira bid adieu to everyone. They drove off.

Kartik was driving and Naira was looking for an opportunity to start a conversation with Kartik.
"Thank You ", Naira said suddenly.
Kartik didn't give any response.
"Thank you for picking me up. I thought Shubham will-", Naira began to say but Kartik interrupted her.
"I didn't pick you up by my wish. Dad forced me to do so", Kartik said.
Naira didn't know what to reply. She just nodded her head. She looked at the music system.
"Music?", Naira asked.
"No. I don't like music while driving", Kartik replied.
"Okay ji", Naira said and kept mum.
"He's such a sadoo! Who doesn't like music while driving?", Naira thought.
