Back to School DREAD

Dear Journal, today I'm writing today to talk about what and how I'm feeling about starting back to school. 6th grade was SO MUCH FUN and I don't want to go to the next grade. I'm scared and I know I shouldn't be. It's scary to think about having new teachers. I don't know if they're gonna be mean to me or not. Luckily I have a few friends who are in the 6th grade, so if I get in a jam, I can hang out with them. There's also a classmate of mine that I sorta hang out with. Her name is Avery. She's not my best friend or anything, but, she's a cool person.

Anyway, I was talking to my dad today about going back to school, and he says that I'll be just fine. If 6th grade was fun for me, then 7th grade should be fun for me...right?! That's just what he told me. He kept telling me that I was smart and that I had nothing to worry about this year. I don't know dad. You're kinda old...well, unless you are like me and think that 30 is old. Some kids I know have parents that are like 40 YEARS OLD!!!! That's INSANE!!! My parents are old, but they are not 40 and all wrinkly and stuff. (not saying that they're wrinkly)

So anyways, that's what I wanted to say about this school year. ALSO, my little brother Ryder is going to be in 2nd grade this year. He's so cute. I hope he does good in school, because I had alot of fun in 2nd grade when I was his age. Anyway, it's getting late and even though school hasn't started yet, I'm tired, so I will cya tomorrow.
