The acrid smell and taste of the air was overwhelming to the point where Seonghwa had to cover his nose. The sight before him was gruesome, the grass was filled with decaying bodies and zombies eating other people. He couldn't help them it was already to late they would either die from blood loss or soon after turn into the thing that was eating them. Seonghwa stands up slowly, careful not to make any sounds that would trigger the zombie in front of him. He looks out the window again and sees the person not squirming anymore obviously dead.
"Hope you find peace in the afterlife," he then grabs his bag and turns around, making his way to the backdoor "if there even is one." he opens the door and looks around making sure there weren't any biters, he then walks out and starts a fast walking pace.
It was almost nighttime so that means he needed to hurry to find shelter because that's when they really came out. That's when they were the most hungry. There was a cool breeze in the air and you could hear birds but they sounded blocks away. The black haired male took a deep breath, taking in the quiet. It was never this quiet usually and when it was he took advantage of it. He heard a quiet rustle in the trees that made him pull out his bat and stop walking for a moment, looking around and not seeing anything he assumes its an animal and continues to walk.

A couple hours of walking on highways and hiding behind abandoned cars from biters he reaches a neighborhood full of pretty big houses. He smirked to himself and looks around to see which one he could stay in for the night. His mother couldn't afford houses like this so he was careful on which he picked. Seonghwa decides on a grey one with dying flowers in the front yard and a doorway that had a huge arch. Making his way up the driveway he kicks a few bodies out his path and tries to open the door only to find it locked. He then tries to open the garage but that was stuck in place. He walks around to the back and sees a broken window. Looks like someone has already been in here, he thinks to himself. He takes off his sweater and does his best to remove the broken glass to be able to climb in the window without getting cut. Successfully he does so and lands on the floor with a thump. Seonghwa stood up and straightened his clothes then he looks up to see a fireplace, beige couches and chairs along with a coffee table and a lamp on another table that was to the side of the farthest chair that was resting against the wall.

He then sees some paintings, one was a sunset behind a tree, a portrait of one of the people who lived here, and more of different things. He walked up to the fireplace and picked up a picture inspecting it closely. The family had both parents and three kids, sitting by one of the kids was a dog that looked like it was wagging its tail and had its tongue out. The mother had brown hair and warm brown eyes while the father had a nice comforting smile and his arm wrapped around the oldest kid. The oldest had blonde hair that was obviously dyed and everyone else had brown hair and different shades of brown eyes. They all looked happy but they're probably dead now, like mostly everyone else.

Seonghwa sets the picture down then makes his way up the stairs and opens a door that lead into a bathroom. He walked over to the sink then turned the handle and sighed in relief when water came out of the faucet. He threw his backpack to the ground and got undressed then turned the water on for the shower and got into the tub, relaxing as the hot water hit his body.

Later that night as he was cleaning up the house a bit, there was a thump behind him "slowly turn around and get on your knees." the person was obviously a kid and his voice was shaking as he stepped closer. Seonghwa slowly turned around and got on his knees as he looked at the kid closely. He was the kid he in the picture he saw earlier on the fireplace.

"Where's your family?" said Seonghwa.

"Dead" said Jongho.

Seonghwa bites the inside of his cheek, he easily take down this kid as he didn't have a weapon and was practically shaking where he was standing. "Listen kid, let's make a deal." he slowly stands back up and wipes the dust off his pants. The other tenses and backs up.
