"really?" she smiled, turning to her father. her father nodded and she clapped out of excitement. "i also wanted to ask if after we're done here, if i can go spend christmas eve with his family?"

her mother and father looked at each other, a frown appearing on her mothers face.

"cam, you know holidays are big to us." her mother stated.

"i know, but he's sacrificing his time to come meet you guys and his parents invited me over there as well." camila defended herself. her mother looked at her father and shrugged her shoulders.

"fine." her father said, earning a squeal from camila. she put the knife down and jumped off the chair, hugging her mom and then running to give her dad a hug.

"so i can bring a girl over too?" elias said, causing all eyes to fall on him.

"a girl?" camila raised her eyebrow. "the same one from the fair?"

elias nodded and the family continued the conversation. as soon as camila was done helping her mother prepare the food, she ran upstairs. she was eager to tell alvaro what her parents answer was, and also to inform him of the new invitation he's received from her parents also.
