Sometimes things aren't what they seem. Sometimes you can be so completely and utterly blind to what's going on around you. Sometimes things fade, and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Jaeden and Wyatt were currently at a local restaurant, seated and waiting on Finn and Jack who had invited them to come out and eat dinner with them. It was six in the afternoon, and they had just arrived.

Jaeden and Wyatt have been together for a pretty long time now. Finn and Jack had just started a relationship with each other, and they admire Jaeden and Wyatt's relationship a lot, admiring how they are fully committed to each other.

When Finn and Jack finally arrive, they are seated with Jaeden and Wyatt, making small talk while they wait for their drinks.

Over the course of the night, they continued to talk while they enjoyed their meals, Wyatt casually teasing Jack and Finn about their newfound relationship, earning small laughs from Jaeden, and tinted cheeks from both Finn and Jack.

Once they finished their food they continued to talk while waiting for the waitress to bring the check. Jaeden laying his head on Wyatt's shoulder and closing his eyes in enervation.

"Baby," Wyatt whispered while looking at the boy rested on his shoulder.

This only resulting in a hum from Jaeden.

"Are you tired?" Wyatt asked, smiling down at his boyfriend.

"Yeah, a little." he replied simply, eyes still closed.

Jaeden finally got up and continued to talk to the couple in front of him.

Once he noticed silence on Wyatt's behalf, he turned over to ask him if he was okay when he noticed Wyatt on his phone.

He didn't even mean to look. He trusted Wyatt enough to not pry on him. Something that he soon realized was a mistake. Because what he had saw on his phone was something that made his stomach drop to his knees, and his heart to stop beating all together.

He subconsciously scooted farther away from him in the booth, his breath caught in his throat.

No, that's not possible. I must have read it wrong. Yeah, that has to be it.

That's all that was going through Jaeden's head as Wyatt looked over at him, talking about something Jaeden wasn't even hearing.

Jaeden was lost in his own thoughts. His brain scattered, and his mind in the clouds.

Wyatt then said his name for the third time, Jaeden hearing this time, finally pulling him back to Earth, the exact place where Jaeden would rather not be at the moment.
