Roman said "Patton, I love you dad, but yes we are going, I get it!" I said "Okey!" and went to logie's room. I knocked on the door. He gave a grunt of approval and I went in. "Salutations, Patton" said Logan and I said "I like the fancy way you talk! I know fancy words too!" He raised an eyebrow. "S-ax-oph-one!" I said and he gave a small chuckle. "Don't forget we are going to Joan's!" I squealed at him. He chuckled again and said "I haven't forgotten, Patton." "Okie!" I said, and left the room.
I knocked on Virgil's door.I heard him grunt a bit and I opened the door. "Hi dad" he said I a small voice. He looked tired, stressed out. Weak. Vulnerable. I reached out and took his hand. It's okay, kiddo! "I know" he muttered softly. "Do you want me to leave?" "Please."
I opened the door and left the room.
