Lost In My Thoughts

Few days later...
Ben's POV
It's Tuesday morning. I woke up and got ready for school.
I did my normal routine. I got dressed into my black tuxedo with black buttons. Then my yellow pants. I went to go eat breakfast. After that I brushed my teeth and combed my hair. Then I put my black shoes on.
I grabbed my backpack filled with my textbooks and notebooks.
I have tourney practice after school so I took my big sports bag with me.
"Bye mom and dad" as I walked out the door

"Bye sweetie" my mom said

"Have a good day at school" my dad said
I made my way to Auradon Prep. The school was pretty empty. School didn't start until 8:30am. And it was 7:30am. Yeah I'm a early bird when it comes to school.
Since I had time, I went to my locker to put some textbooks away.
I opened my locker and threw some books in. While I was doing that my head turned to Mal's locker. I found her locker immediately, because it had her "Long live evil" with beautiful colors on it.
I smiled to myself as I saw it.
Then I closed my locker. I went back inside the building and sat down on the couch and waited until school started.
Mal's POV
Surprisingly I woke up on time. Usually I would sleep in until last minute, but something in my head told to me to wake up.
Evie was awake getting ready. So I got up and got ready as well.
It was 8:10.
"Come E, let's go" as I opened the door

"Okay okay, I'm coming. Let me just put my bracelets on"
A few moments later she was finally done.
"Okay I'm ready" as she stood up from the chair
We made our way out the dorm and to our lockers.
When we got to our lockers I put some books away.
"We have 15 more minutes until school starts. What should we do to kill time?" I asked

"Do you want to grab some breakfast?"

"I thought you might never ask" as I smiled
To get to the cafeteria, we had to walk inside the building and to the end.
When we walked inside, there was loads of couches. But when I walked in, I saw Ben sitting there on his phone.
I immediately looked away. But from the corner of my eye, I saw him look up towards me.
"Evie, walk faster" I whispered

"Why?"

"Because........because class starts in a bit and I don't want to be late" I lied

"Oh. Then off we go" as she walked faster
Phew, I said to myself.
We got breakfast and ate it on the spot. Then the bell rang.
"Bye Evie. See you in Algebra"
We both said goodbye and went off to class.
1 hour later...
First class was done. Next was History. And that's the class that I have with Ben.
I wanted to get there first, so I could get the very back seat.
When I walked in luckily no one was sitting there. So I took it, but the problem was it was a long desk for two! people. Some time went on and no one sat next to me.
Just the way I like it.
Then class started.
A few minutes into class some guy ran in.
"Mister Benjamin. Late again." Mr. Landcass said

"I'm so sorry"
I immediately rolled my eyes.
"Please take a seat"
Ben nodded and he looked around the room trying to find an empty seat.
Shit, I said to myself. I'm the only person with an empty seat.
Ben looked around the room and found my table. He walked over.
"Is anyone seating here?" he asked

"Nope"
Then he sat down.
I tried not to look at him. I could see him from the corner of my eye.
We were writing down notes as the teacher was talking.
Luckily Ben didn't talk to me. Until now...
"Hey, did you get the last section of the notes?" he whispered

"Ummm yeah"

"Is it okay if I just copy that section please?"

"I don't see why not"
I moved my notebook over to him. He took it and started to write things down.
"You know, I didn't expect for the Prince too not pay attention to what he was saying" I whispered
I saw him smile.
"I kinda got off track" as he kept writing things down

"Off track on what?" I asked
He hesitated for a while.
"Well, I can't tell you that" as he smiled

"Why not?"

"Because if I do, then things would probably take a weird turn"
I got so confused. I didn't say anything after that.
He was done writing down the notes and he gave me back my book.
"Thanks" he said

"Yup"
What on earth was he even thinking about?
1 hour later...
Class was over. Now we had a small break. I found Evie and my friends. We hung out talking and laughing.
When break was over Me and Evie had our next class together.
We sat down next to each other.
"Mal. After school do you want to walk?" Evie asked

"Walk where?"

"Around the school. Maybe take some photos"

"Okay"
After school...
Ben's POV
School was done for the day. I went to the locker room and got into my practice uniform.
After changing I went out to the field. Jay and Carlos were there too.
When practice started we did some stretches and warm ups.
"Okay. Everyone huddle up!" Couch yelled
We ran to him and got close together.
"Today we are picking teams. And we will do a practice game"
"Our team captains are, Ben and Jay" he added
We both stood next to couch.
"Okay guys, chose your players" as he walked to the side
We chose our players. Then we went to the field.
We were about to start the game. Until I looked to my side and saw Mal and Evie walking next to the bleachers.
I laid my eyes on Mal, watching as she laughed. It made me smile.
I was so focused on her, that I didn't even know that the game started.
My eyes followed her.
"Watch out watch out!!!" Couch yelled really loud
I immediately snapped out of it, and as soon I as turned my head back, I immediately got hit hard. I feel on the ground, landing on my back.
"Ouch!" Jay said
Everyone stopped the game and ran too me.
"Hey man, you okay?" Carlos asked

"Yup..........I'm fine" holding my pain back
I sat up on my butt. Then I saw that Mal and Evie saw me.
I felt embrassed. So I blushed hard. Luckily I have my helmet on, so no one saw me blushing.
I quickly stood up on my feet.
"Son, just go sit down for a bit" Couch said
I went to the bleachers and sat down. The game went back on and I watched from a distance.
I was holding the back of neck in pain.
"Are you okay?" I heard a voice
I turned to see who it was and there she was. Mal.
"Umm yeah yeah, I'm fine" moving my hand off my neck

"It's doesn't seem like it"

"Trust me. I'm okay. Thanks for asking"
I have to admit it, I really like her. I love how she actually cares about me. Not like Audrey.
She then nodded.
Then she patted my shoulder and walked away.
"Why can't I just tell her that I like her?" I told myself
Practice was over. So I went back home and took a nice cold shower.
Then I went to my mom for some advice.
"Hey mom?" as I sat down on a chair

"Yes son"

"Can I ask you for some girl advice?"

"Of course" as she sat next to me
"So whats up?" she added

"Well, I really really like this girl at school. But I don't know how to tell her that I like her"

"Okay I see"
"First, you want to talk to her more. Like ask her small questions, then make the conversation longer and make sure you make her laugh. Girls dig it. Second ask her for help, especially on homework. Third that's when you tell her that you like her"
I soaked everything up. Then I smiled
"Thanks mom, you are the best" as I hugged her

"I'm glad I could help"
"So who is this lucky girl?" she asked

"That I can't tell. Sorry" as I got up

"Okay. Well dinner will be done in a few"

"Okay mom"
Then I went to my room.
