After these three had been treated, you averted your attention to Midoriya.
You motioned for the first-aid robots to bring the young man to you. They set him on the floor and you got down to the ground, hovering your hands over his bruised arm. His body looked like it had shattered.
You watched as strands of light seeped from your fingertips and soaked into Midoriya's skin. They helped pull the broken pieces in his arm back together.
Midoriya's injuries were very intense. With your ability, you would be able to fully heal an injured body like his in no time, but it would take a lot out of you, and you still had the rest of the class to watch out for.
You closed your eyes and focused on recovering the original structure of the bones. You figured that granny would have to work with the fine details.
"He's ready. Take him to Recovery Girl." You instructed and the robots wheeled off with the green-haired boy in a stretcher.
"Good work." All Might patted the top of your head, then turned to the other three students. "Head back to the monitor room so that we can review the results."
"Yes!" You, Uraraka, and Iida said in unison. You walked up to Bakugou while the other two followed All Might to the monitor room.
"Let's go, Kacchan." When you got closer to him, you noticed that he was shaking as he stared at his right hand. "Bakugou?" You tried to get his attention. You couldn't tell if he was shaking out of anger or something else, so you grabbed his hand and held it within your own.
He stared at you with a surprised expression, his eyes wavered.
You could tell he was frustrated about losing, but there was something else that you didn't quite understand, and that drew your attention to him for the rest of the day. "Today you lost. But it doesn't have to be that way next time. Let's go now, okay?"
"Yeah." He mumbled in a surprisingly soft tone.
You let his hand loose but nudged him and began walking towards the three that had left. He trailed behind you and you could feel him staring into your back.
He hadn't noticed it before, but you were definitely concerned with him and this fact alone confused him. Hasn't he been mean to you ever since you met? Why were you so nice to someone like him?
You and Bakugou were the last to arrive to the monitor room.
All Might was standing in front of the class and gained the attention of the room by sticking his hands in the box once more. He decided to start the next match right away. Everyone moved toward the screens to watch the second match, but Bakugou stood in the back of the room with his head down.
He looked defeated. Mentally, physically, everything. It wasn't that you felt pity for him, you honestly just wanted to know more about him.
You silently walked over to him, grabbed his hand and led him over to the rest of the group.
"Damn it." You heard him mutter out of frustration.
As you watched the other teams go against one another, you carefully observed everyone's quirks. It wasn't like you could face them head-on with your own quirk, all you could do was watch and think about how to counteract.
As you watched the second team's match, before you knew it, the whole building on the screen froze in an instant. You even began to feel a chill throughout the monitor room.
"What is this?" You whined, feeling extremely cold. You were able to recognize the boy on the screen as Endeavor's son based on half of his features. Red hair and blue eyes weren't a very common combination. Todoroki Shoto. He was at the entrance exam for recommended students, like you were. 'How interesting!' You thought.
But while you were staring at him in awe, Bakugou was shaking speechlessly due to frustration. He was definitely feeling intimidated today and you didn't like the vibes he was emitting.
As soon as All Might declared Team B the winner, Todoroki melted all of the ice he had created and everyone moved on.
Since no one was injured, there was no need to intervene.
You continued to watch all of the teams battle while standing by Bakugou's side, but he was only becoming more and more frustrated as the matches continued. You nudged his arm with your elbow to see if he was still responsive.
"What the fuck?" He was about to push you away but you began talking so he dropped his hands to the side. You knew what he was thinking. You felt the same way.
'There are people stronger than me.'
"Stop thinking so much and just watch." You stared into his eyes. "You don't have to compare yourself to them. You're here for a reason."
His eyes widened at your words. It was true. Why was he comparing himself to the others? Everyone was at different levels, so he should expect people below and above him, no matter how hard that was to admit.
With this, you watched the last of the teams fight, Bakugou stared at you in disbelief. How could you be so good at consoling people? How did you even know what he was thinking?
