In another time this would be quite lovely. Sitting with your best friend in your favorite hidden spot in the library, whispering so no one hears you say things you wouldn't trust to most anyone else. But this wasn't a calm moment of enjoying each others company. Minutes before y/n had rushed a panicked Hermione to their secret spot in a successful attempt at avoiding the Inquisitorial Squad. "I don't like this one bit" said Hermione softly breaking the silence as you both sat quietly in the dark corner breathing a bit irregularly from your sprint. You turned your head meeting her glistening eyes, admiring that however sad they looked there was always such a passionate fire behind them. Reaching over and wrapping an arm around her shoulder you spoke with every bit of confidence you could muster "Its gonna be alright Hermione, Dumbledore will return before you know it and get that old hag out of here." Hermione sighed putting her head onto your shoulder "I hope so..." She breathed out. After some moments you heard her breathing slow. She had been staying awake far to late these past few weeks, searching book after book for any loophole to get Umbridge fired. A few minutes passed before your ears perked at a noise coming from the other side of the library "I know I saw someone come in here!" "Shut up you idiot! Now if they are here they've heard us!" Goyle & Malfoy. They must have seen them run in and were searching the library. As well hidden from the world as this spot was if you were looking hard enough it wouldn't be the hardest thing to spot. Y/n s heart was racing. If they found us we'd both be in enormous trouble and they would find us if they kept searching which was more than likely since those weasels had nothing better to do! You glance down at Hermione still out on your shoulder. Wait. Goyle said he saw someone. That's one person not plural. If they only think they saw one person maybe... "Lumos!" You heard Draco cast the spell now illuminating shelves quite a bit away from your hiding spot but you didn't have much time. Tightening your arm around Hermiones arm to stop any sudden movements you place the other over her mouth waking her up with a startle. She gasps fighting for a split second as you sush her but she quickly realizes its you and settles. You grab both her shoulders quickly "Stay here don't make a sound till you're sure they're gone then get to your dormitory as fast as possible." You whispered gripping her shoulders a bit tighter. You could see her hesitate but she nodded seeing you would take no for an answer. She gripped your hand reassuringly as Draco calls out "Oi listen, we both know how this is going down! Just show yourself and lets get this over with yeah?" You gave Hermione a quick nod before slipping out of the small corner and making your way to where you heard Draco. Stealth was one of the things you pride yourself on and you could have probably slipped passed Draco and Goyle but you knew Hermione, though fierce as she was could also be a bit clumsy sometimes. "You caught me." you said calmly stepping into Draco wand light. He smirked triumphantly "ah y/l/n I should've known it was you. Filthy blood traitor." Draco and Goyle stepped forward trying to intimidate you but you held your ground and kept your face at a steely expression which to your delight seemed to bother Draco "you're coming with us" Goyle piped up lamely as they led you out of the library. You didn't dare look back at Hermione for fear they would think to check for anyone else but you could feel her eyes as they watched you leave to an unknown punishment.
