I don't understand why

I woke up the next day really late still at Cole's house. He must have been at school or something, because he wasn't here. He came in the door an hour later and said "Don't worry I called you in sick." I smiled at him. "Cole why do you like me?" I asked looking at the bed sheets. Cole leaned to me and kissed me. I pinned him on the bed and he tore his shirt off. "Don't ask again, but the answer is because you were different." We went to school the next day and to my surprise the guys who injured me were there. Not gone. Why? Why did we have to get Daniel's mom? Great know I can't go anywhere alone. I went in the bathroom and right when I got in there I turned around and left because they were in there. I have a black eye and a broken rib this isn't the time to get beat to a pulp. I found Cole and we went to our history class. Me and Cole got called to the principals office... Why? When me and Cole got in there and sat down Cole grabbed my hand and held it in his. "You boys have a call." Said the principal. I picked it up. When I hung up I screamed. It surprised Cole so he asked what was up. "You know Eben Kostbar and Perez Hilton?" I said. "Yes why?" He asked puzzled. "They called and told us to audition in LA!" I said still screaming."Audition for," he said. "A boy band!" "Can we be excused?" Cole said. "Yes of course boys! Good luck," she said smiling. We got to our houses and told our parents. We flew to LA together and auditioned. There was a girl. I recognized her and I walked up to her and we started talking. Welp it wasn't who he thought she was. Doppelgänger probably. I looked for Cole because we got separated when we auditioned. If we did get in the band, the other guys would find out. What would they think? Wait... Are me and Cole even together? I found Cole and asked him " Cole, are we together?" He said, "Dalton Louis Rapattoni? Will you be my boyfriend?" "Yes Cole Alan Pendery." I said smiling. We kissed and then realized. Everyone could see us. Cole broke the kiss when the jerk, Nick Tangorra said "We have fags I see. What will we do with you?" Dana spoke up " We aren't going to do anything. It doesn't matter if two guys love eachother." "Yes it does they are fags. Fags ok? Anyway, i'm older." Nick said punching me in the stomach. I fell and groaned. Cole helped me up and Dana held Nick back. Me and Cole went to Perez Hilton and told him what happened. Perez said, " Ok guys here is the thing only 5 of us are going to get on the band. You, Nick and Cole are going to get in you are the best ones." I screamed still in pain, " I don't give a crap if Nick is the best! He thinks because he is an artist he can get away with anything. He is a douche and he doesn't deserve to be in this band. I don't care who he is." Cole looked at me smiling. "Leave go to auditions." Perez said looking with the stinkeye.
