I'm trying to stay pleasant
But it's harder everyday

The city is beautiful
The experience is blessed

Wallowing in self-pity
Holding on for dear life

That no business deal cares for
So I must care for myself
Love myself
No one puts you down
And no one pulls you up
But where is the line?
Between self and selfless
Pleasure and pain
Life and death
Love and hate
Very dangerous lines
One or the another
A careful balance between
Sanity and none
Awash on the shore
Of love and determination
Alone with only your passion
Or will it be gone?
Lost somewhere in the sea
Of murky waters
Once so blue
And
Clear
And
Limitless.
