I never thought that I would be waiting for a train going to Kings College, but here I am now. Waiting for a train going to Kings College. I got onto the platform about 15 minutes ago. I was watching other people get in and out of trains, trains coming in and out and people just getting onto the right platform.

A couple of months ago, I got a scholarship to Kings College. I write this letter thing and the people found out. They were all 'This kid is too good for this shitty place of an island!' And so they saved up enough money to get me a ship to America. New York City, to be exact.

I was very surprised that the people saved up money for me. Back in the Caribbean, there wasn't that much money to go around, so I was kinda surprised that they had that kind of money.

Let me tell you, that ship ride was quite expensive. I started to work at a book store to at least try to pay for the dorm itself. As I wait for my train to arrive, I start to think about how my school will look like. It can't be that good.

I mean, there are good colleges near Kings College, I looked on the school's website. Kings College looked okay from the website, but you can't trust everything online. Maybe it's just a a run-down brick building with really bad and messy classrooms with horrible teachers and dorms with showers in the walls. There are dorms with showers in the walls.

Or it could be like the photos on the site, a fancy concrete building that had big windows that made it look modern. Maybe the inside would actually have marble floors and amazingly clean classrooms and dorms without showers in the walls.

I get lost in my thoughts for what seemed like an eternity when there is a loud ring and I check the big clock, 6:45. I see a train coming my way and put my phone away. I walk up to the edge of the platform and lean over to see the train.

Then something happened. I lost my balance and almost fell into the train tracks. Remember the word 'almost.' Someone caught me by my arm and pulled me into the platform.

I quickly turned around to see a guy with poofy, curly hair, worn like an afro, wearing a magenta long sleeved shirt with light blue jeans and black Nike's. I glance up at his face. A beard that looked scruffy and wide, chocolate brown eyes. We stare at each other for a few seconds. Then I realized how hot he actually looked.

Boy he is hot.
