With a gentle touch, his fingers danced its way through each note. The melody was serene and the peoples' chattering were in the background.

Ordinarily, it would be the other way around, but not for the one creating this beautiful sound. The talking at the party was just inconsequential mumbles and whispers to him.

Those people served as the background as he focused solely on playing the piano.

He'd engulf himself in the music. Each note was played effortlessly; the song known by heart.

The people - who stopped their chatter - surrounded the pianist. At the end they gave him a huge round of applause.

Everything was perfect.

He almost forgot about the wariness he felt.

Key word: almost.

The young pianist took a bow before leaving the stage. He wasn't the only one in a rush. That was noted when someone bumped into him on his way to the break room - where the other performers were.

The man he ran into looked fairly young, but there was a weird vibe to him. The way he spoke when he apologized and the way he walked.

Something was off about that man.

Yoongi only bowed his head before speeding through the crowd, dodging people as much as possible. When he arrived, he immediately took his bag and coat to leave.

It was a nice but strange night. That's what Yoongi observed as he breathed in cold air.

The cool air really calmed his nerves and slowed his heartbeat with every breath.

The young man let out a sigh. It wasn't a sigh after a dreadful day, rather a sigh of relief.

"That was nice," Yoongi mumbled, walking at a pace that could be seen as strolling.

But that bad feeling started to turn his stomach in a bad way. The cold suddenly became unbearable.

And just as abruptly, an ear-piercing scream made the serene surrounding turn right around. Yoongi's heartbeat increased; something stirred inside him once again.

"What was that? I got goosebumps." His legs moved on its own. Every step brought him closer to where the girl's scream was heard. The closer he got, the louder his beating heart was.

There, before him, was one of the many scenes you'd find in a movie. Not to mention in real life, but rarely seen then.

There stood a young lady who bled heavily. On the ground was a puddle of blood that flowed out of her cut leg. He looked around frantically trying to find the culprit, but the person was gone.

Albeit, Yoongi could've sworn he saw a figure rushing away on the rooftop. It wasn't impossible with the ladder present. Yoongi wouldn't be caught dead chasing such a dangerous person. He'd already made an effort to reach this place.

In fact, he wouldn't have bothered to come here.

If others were around, he would've left it for someone else to do.

Cruel as it was, it was Yoongi's ideals. There's people who are far worse than him. Those people were the reason for his attitude about life.

"Sir... sir! Help me, please!" She whimpered.

He didn't reply and only rushed to the girl's side. He swung his bag off, taking out two items: a scarf and his phone.

With a call, the ambulance came to help the girl. He had wrapped his scarf around her leg, while waiting for the ambulance.
