Fate. To most people, it’s just a word that is thrown around to explain coincidences and happy endings. To me, it’s something much darker. Fate is the idea that no one is completely in control of their lives. Fate is the concept that something – or someone – decides your outcome.
That’s what makes it so hard to believe in it. Because even though everyone’s time runs out eventually, you’ll always have the choice. The choice to deceive fate and shatter the hourglass before the last grain of sand drops from it.
