Do Over.

1.Burn

Fire, yes fire everywhere. I could feel the heat all over my bed that I was tied to. I looked up to see Samantha smoking a joint with a mocking smile on her face. " Adriana,Adriana, stop struggling it's futile. No one can hear you ,I sent Blakey on an errand to get me some fruits" I cringed at the pet name used to address my Blake,my fiancée ,the one that I thought was gonna be there for me.
      I heard several coughs before Samantha stubbed the blunt against the curtains. "We've gotta speed things up darling,I cannot let my hubby meet us like this , can I?" She moved away quickly from the now burning curtains before moving closer to me .I tried to scream but my screams were muffled by the liquid that she kept pouring down my throat.The liquid slid past my throat while I coughed and spluttered, the burning feeling was intense. I asked her what she just gave me and she said that it was red wine.
       A glint from a knife soon caught my eye while it reflected the dangerous flames that kept licking its way closer and closer to the bed.  "Don't resist Dri, it will all be over soon" She cut open the ropes and pulled me down to the ground forcefully. Her figure gradually became blurry. "Die pls, Dri I love you but you are an obstacle. I need to be Mrs Crowell. You already said you don't love Blake anymore since your brother went missing so pls die . I can no longer stand living under your shadow "
      Immediately after this statement,Samantha put the knife in my hands and plunged it halfway into her thigh. I screamed in shock while looking at the blood running down her Snow White thigh.She let out a crazed laugh before running headfirst into the fire and out again. Her clothes were still on fire when she came back out. " Samantha why are you doing this, I already have cancer. I am going to die eventually why would you still have to do this after everything my family did for you. My mother treated you like a daughter when your drug addict mom abandoned you my father took you in, My brother showed you love but still why did you cruelly abandon everyone " I screamed in pain.
  With her clothes burning slowly, Samantha looked crazy and dazed before speaking slowly " Their Love was yours so I wanted it. The whole country adores you as an actress so I took that too,Blake was just the icing on the cake you had it all while I had nothing. You don't deserve any of it, I should be in your place so now you are going to die and every body will hate you even in death " I could hear noises from outside the house,it seems people finally noticed the fire. Samantha looked at me before spitting scornfully at my feet. She quickly opened the balcony doors while screaming " she has gone mad, she set fire to the house. She is trying to kill me somebody help please!"  I smiled sadly when I
heard the voice that used to call out to me before "Samantha! Are you okay . Push that lever there is a ladder . Walk slowly" Blake was obviously worried with the way he was screaming .
      The flames finally touched my feet but I couldn't even feel it. I was tired and drained of all emotions, if only I could have a do over and avoid the mistakes I made this time. The smell of roasting flesh soon permeated the air and a part of me was actually thankful to Samantha because death was indeed the best relief that could come for me at that stage.
       I finally closed my eyes to the hope that when I open them again I'll definitely be in a better place free of pain and sorrows.
Meanwhile, while the house hot razed to the ground. A brand new phone fell from the hands of a man in a soldiers uniform. Screams of pain and agony flowed from his lips while he kept shouting " Dri, I told you to hold on, I told you I would be back for you but ......aargh" he shouted before smashing the intricate vases that were neatly arranged near the walls.
