Sam and Colby Against the World

~Sam's POV~

Me and Colby, we've been best friends since high school. Hard to believe, huh? Well, believe it or not, it's true. We started our vine account when we were kids, and that's when we finally realized what our true calling was. Making people happy. I love my career, all I have to do is have fun with my best friend, as well as some of my other friends, and record it.

It's hard to believe that once, I was just a band kid. That's all me and Colby were, back then when we were kids. Now, we're successful people, and millions of people look up to us!

"Sam?" my girlfriend, Katrina, asks. Clearly, she realized I was spacing.

"Oh, sorry," I say sincerely, and she walks over to me, hugging me. I love Katrina, but our relationship has been pretty rocky recently. I'm scared that soon it's going to end.

Little did I know, I was fearing the future.

"It's fine, I was just making sure you were listening," Kat hums, continuing to talk about her idea for her song that she's working on.

I go back into my thoughts, thinking back on all the crazy things Colby and I have done.

When it's Sam and Colby against the world; Sam and Colby is going to win.

I smile from that thought, my mind wandering to the thoughts of my best friend.

Soon Kat bids herself goodbye, heading back to her place. I end up pulling my phone out soon after, texting my best friend and asking if he can come over.

Soon after, I get a text message back from Colby, saying, "Sure, I'll be right over! Pizza night?"

I can't help but find myself laughing, but texting back a "sure, I'll order it now."

With that, I pull up Pizza Hut's number, ordering a large pizza. A few minutes later, knocking comes on my door.

I get up to get it, knowing it's going to be Colby. Sure enough, when I open my door, I find Colby standing there.

"Hey, Sammy," he smiles. Sammy has always been the nickname Colby's called me when we're alone, and I love it. In general, I don't like people calling me it, but something's different when Colby does. It just... feels special.

"'Ello, Colbs," I smile back, opening the door more so he can come in. He walks in, doing the usual thing he does once in my house.

He plops down on the couch, laughing.

"Why do you always do that?" I ask him curiously, and he grabs my hand, pulling me onto the couch with him.

"It's fun, that's why." I laugh as well, staying where he plopped me down on the couch at. Side by side, we hang out, watching some youtube on my laptop.

Soon, I get a text message. "Who is it?" Colby asks curiously, and I shrug. I put down my pizza, then grabbing my phone from the table so I can read the text message.

"It's Katrina," I say softly, opening it.

Colby pauses the youtube video we were watching, and I read the text from Katrina.
