❝go ahead.❞ The blonde sat up. He propped up his head, resting his chin on his palm, then raised his brows, waiting for Brian to continue.

Brian felt his face oddly heat up, ❝well you- you know the fling between Chrissie and I, and-.❞

❝-is this what you came to talk to me about?❞ Roger interrupted, feeling his blood slowly come to a boil. ❝no. Not really-.❞ Brian swallowed, trying to lower his rising fear.

❝yes, it is. You did come to talk to me about this. Sorry to cut this conversation short, but you don't need to talk to me about you and Chrissie being together. But, good for you. You found another person.❞ Roger grinned.

He was jealous.

He didn't want to show Brian that he was envious over their relationship because it might look like Roger wanted to start something even bigger than what they were already in.

❝no, no, no. None of- Chrissie.❞ Brian shook his head, ❝I actually came here to apologise-...to you.❞

Roger blinked in utter surprise, ❝oh really?❞ Brian nodded and continued, ❝I'm sorry if it looked as if I threw away our relationship over my shoulder.❞

❝but the kiss between you and-.❞

yes, I know.❞ The curly headed student shut his eyes, ❝Chrissie kissed me, and I wasn't expecting it. It was by force. I didn't want to kiss her, she wanted to kiss me. We broke up a year ago, and she's still trying to get my attention by doing anything—and I mean anything.❞ He softly laughed.

❝but, I didn't know that it was going to affect you to the point you stopped talking to me. Those times I tried to talk to you, I thought you actually had given up on me and our- thing between us.❞

Roger just blinked in response, grasping all of Brian's explanation.

❝I just wanted to say sorry, again, for ignoring you. I care about you. I miss you and your bright smiles.❞

Roger saw Brian's cheeks flush at the last sentence.

❝I just- I just hope you understand that what I did was wrong. I should've made a safer decision by ending the conversation quickly between Chrissie and I, and followed you to your locker.❞ The taller one awkwardly grinned.

Roger furrowed his brows. He looked at Brian, then back at the refectory floor, repeatedly. ❝so...❞ He began, ❝you two aren't a thing?❞

Brian tilted his head side to side, ❝well...like I said, we were together at some point, awhile ago-, but if you meant the last few weeks that passed, no. We were never a thing.❞ He explained.

❝anyways, I think—and I hate to admit to this but—I was just scared to depart from her.❞

Roger had to ask: ❝why?❞

Brian sighed mentally, ❝-because, I was scared that-, that she was going to-.❞

❝Bri!❞ A feminine voice called out.

Both of the students heads turned towards the voice.

Chrissie.

❝bloody hell...❞ Brian said, under his breath.

❝hi Brian.❞ Chrissie hugged Brian from behind. ❝hi Chrissie.❞ Brian said, not moving any of his limbs to hug her back.

Roger just stared.

❝how are you?❞ She asked, then glanced at Roger, ❝oh, hey Roger.❞

❝hi.❞ The blonde lazily waved.
