Dragon's Fire

Prologue

Long Long ago, a war shook the foundations of this planet. Five billion humans on the planet bleeding it's resources dry, bombing it's surface and poisoning it's waters. The world, tired of parasites ruining its beauty, suddenly fought back. Continents split apart and reformed into new ones. New islands emerged from a boiling sea. New Elements hissed out from the newly cracked crust. The world destroyed itself then rebuilt in a violent fashion. Only about one billion survived the cataclysm that shook the world to its core. By the end, when the world seemed stable again, six hundred million were left to rebuild the world and learn just how much it had changed.

Some humans and creatures started to change. Ancient creatures emerged from the fires and cracks under the sea. Dragons ruled the sky's once again and Krakens stalked the seas. Magic began to seep out of the very pores of some humans that survived. Some creatures grew larger and more powerful than ever before. Giant wolves hunted the cold forests to the north. Hyper Intelligent cats reigned as kings in the jungles to the south. Monsters, terrifying to behold, swarmed the west. Snakes rose to power in the desert to the east.

In the years to come the planet slowly became the Nine Realms. The already spiritual people in the deserts learned the magic they had developed could connect with the venomous creatures and they could coexist with the snakes around them. 'Afeaa became the first realm. As dangerous as it was beautiful, 'Afeaa flourished under its first King. His people embraced the snakes and their bond with the snakes of this new world. It's small wetlands grew into healthy fields where its people grew food to sustain itself.

The people of the north grew powerful while 'Afeaa flourished. They started to command the packs of wolves that dominated their forests. This was when Lupin was born. The second realm was cold and its people often starved in the harsh long winter. However as the first Lupin master came into power a short summer bloomed in the Realm. Their wolves hunted for them and they crops in their short summer. Lupin's people and its wolves began to coexist.

The third Realm was where nightmares came from. Raakshas was a land of extremes. Harsh desolate winters followed by boiling humid summers. It's lands were plagued with Hydra's and other monsters people once thought were legend. It's rivers swimming with Kelpies and other myths. It's monsters hunted it's people. Until one day a young woman took control of the first Hydra. As Raakshas' people watched, it's three head bowed to the young woman in respect. She became the first leader of Raakshas. She taught her people to respect the monsters that outnumbered them.

Pantera become one of the most power realms in a very sport time span. The fifth realm was overrun with cats. Panthers and Leopards stalked the nights in their jungles. Lions and tigers ruled over their days. When taming cats proved a little difficult considering a cats nature it's people began to worship a warrior cat goddess. The goddess gave the cats of Pantera an intelligence no cat had ever known. The goddess blessed some of the realm's people as well and soon Pantera was the most powerful realm behind 'Afeaa.

Next was Okeanos, raising from the sea like long lost Atlantis. Taking a page from the other realms, a leader rose up and showed his people they could work with their abundance of sea creatures. Soon the people of Okeanos were swimming with sharks. Those sharks began protecting their borders. They worked hard teach whales to fish for them. After all what better fisher than another fish?

The next 3 Realms developed in similar fashion. Passaro, the realm of birds. The land of the Phoenix. Griffen, the Realm of Griffins. Birds with the strength of lions. Griffin's people were proud to call their small realm home. Arenea, the realm of spiders. Crawling with eight legged venomous insects, it's people became similar to the creatures they commanded over the years.

The ninth realm became the most powerful fore there was no doubting the power of a Dragon. The first King of Drak was a barbaric man. Not many laws were set in place for the people of Drak. It would be almost 300 year before Drak became civilized enough to show the world it's true power. When it did it was in a fiery blaze of true strength the people didn't even know they had themselves. They became respectful of that power. Immediately asking for Alliances with 'Afeaa. Although the laws in Drak would always be lax they did always respect their power.

Over the years, the world had completely changed. The realms grew to love the creatures around them. The bond between them grew strong and unbreakable. The people of the new world cut pollution the best they could. The world and its people became one. But had it's people truly learned their lesson? Or would the world crumble under their feet? History does repeat itself after all.
