The Fight

Roenne was furious. He had no idea how things have come to this point. How come that giant Minotaur had appeared in such place? He had always been sent to missions after The Formation and The Triangle were allied and started the war. Those missions were easy and they had been quickly completed by him. This one, although it was supposed to be a simple operation, had turned into a challenge for him when a giant Minotaur appeared. He was well aware that the Minotaurs were dangerous creatures and they were under the service of The Triangle but no one would expect them to show up in a cave of Kirnns. His initial mission was to infiltrate to the cave and exterminate the Kirnn presence but when the job was almost done the Minotaur came out of nowhere. Despite being less powerful than a Minotaur, Roenne had no hesitation to attack and tried to fight with what he had and with his best. Having his armor damaged by the hits he had, he could barely stand. The armor was made of light steel for the plate and he was not wearing a helmet and the limb protections was formed by leathers. This way he could move somewhat more free but that freedom, so far, gave him so little comfort in fighting against a Minotaur. Although he dodged many of the punches he got hit by the axe once and got several punches. The axe swing that he got hit by, luckily, was not a good one that meant no serious harm to him when compared to a real axe hit. Now that he knows that he has his anger with him, he was more cautious than before even if he nearly got reckless with his rage at the first. He was glad he could manage to realize his fury and hold it back. He took a deep breath, and took a look at the Minotaur, saw that it was starting to run towards him. He was aware and agile enough to dodge that charge but with the tiredness he had, he lost his balance and fell to his knees after the dodge. He took a look at the Minotaur and saw that the Minotaur was turning against him again and then tried to get up and fight against his own body and tiredness and decided to try to flee. This time the Minotaur was coming rather slowly; Roenne looked at the way he's come through. The Minotaur was apparently having a concussion; Roenne thought it might have hit somewhere while charging. Thinking that he was lucky for this time he got a little happier but he knew that wouldn't hold the Minotaur for so long so he got to move and put distance between him and the Minotaur. His intention was to hide and see if the Minotaur would give up and go away eventually, so he started to look around. The cave of Kirnns was going deeper but going more would cause the Minotaur expecting him to do so and follow him through and when that happens it means that he would have to face both the remaining of the Kirrns and the Minotaur. He chose to go back and flee. This choice had its own risks but they were to be taken since he had no better chance. While running back he heard the roar of the Minotaur meaning that it recovered so he thought he could look around for some place to hide. The tunnel he was running through had many clefts on different sizes but none of them would fit Roenne inside. He continued to run. While he keep running he realized a hole that he could jump into and did so. He haven't thought about the risks of it for he had no other chances considering the Minotaur recovered and started to chase. It could easily catch him so he did the first thing that came to his mind. Luck was on his side the fall was not so deep and he landed somewhat safely. After getting comfortable he tried to listen the sound around him to understand how far is he from the Minotaur. After a couple of minutes he was convinced that the Minotaur wasn't any close to him. He couldn't presume what was the exact location but he knew that it was not close. He then decided to look around and see what kind of a place he had jumped into. He was surrounded by rocks and stones and numerous cracks among them. He started to wander around. He was walking through the caves and it had started to feel like he was going through an endless tunnel until he saw the light in the depths of the caves. The light which was lit dimly was shimmering lightly. He had an urge to get near the light hoping that he could find some warmth but deep down he knew that it would be the most reckless move to make in this case so he tried to go near the light silently to see from what it might be coming from. He went on crouch and tried to stick to the cave walls as much as he could and started to get closer.  As he getting closer the light got bigger and the ones around light started to appear in a clearer shape and he understood that they were Kirnns. He decided to launch a stealth attack. As far as he could count there were five of them and he thought he could handle it. He went on sneak and got closer. When he got close enough he made a lunge with daggers in both of his hands. Daggers weren't his primary offensive armament but they could be effective in a surprise attack. Although Kirrns had weak ears, Roenne only could manage to got two of them before he had been spotted. This was enough for him. He immediately sheathed his daggers and pulled out a sword which was a very little longer than his daggers' combined length. This was his main weapon and he instantly slashed it to the Kirnns. Now there were two of them. The last two were more cautious since the surprise of the attack was gone off. Kirnns as species were having their strength in numbers so one wouldn't pose a threat but as the numbers going higher their ferocity and bravery would also increase. Even though two of them would be easy for Roenne even in his this bad condition. One of the Kirnns was wielding nothing and the other one was only bearing a shield which was at its height. Shieldbearer tried to bash Roenne with its shield. Roenne tried to evade that but the Kirnn managed to hit him with the side of the shield and Roenne lost his balance. The other Kirnn took the advantage of this situation and jumped on Roenne . Confused Roenne fell to the ground. The Kirnn with the shield then jumped on Roenne using the shield to crush him under. Not because of the pressure of the shield that he was being crushed under but because of the shock that the Kirnns were able to do such attacks Roenne was stunned. He wasn't expecting such thing to be happened.  One Kirnn could be easy to endure the pressure it would apply. But two were like one and a half man and for Roenne it was quite a challenge. Good thing that he was able to pull out his dagger. Kirnns were literally attacking without thinking so after they jumped on Roenne they made no further moves as if they were expecting him to crush to death. He took the advantage of this situation to pull out his dagger and immediately stabbed it to the one who had the shield. The Kirnn which was stabbed fell down and the only thing between the end of the fight and Roenne was the last Kirnn. It was still on Roenne but he was able to throw him as it's shown no resistance as if it accepted its end. After taking the last Kirnn out, Roenne sat down as if he was falling to the ground. He was tired, not because the fight but because the fight came to him right after he was chased by the Minotaur. He was in no place to complain though since the attack was his idea. He then decided to rest a little. He knew he might not has got a lot of time because of the Minotaur, he kept his rest too little to only get a bit of energy to make him the same as before he attacked the Kirnns. He got up and took a look at the camp. There weren't many things and among them, there weren't many useful items so he could only found some clean water and with that he wetted his mouth.
